Happy New Year from Ruby and Family…Ruby has been with us for almost two years now and she is fabulous. We spent New Years Day on the beach and you can see that Ruby wore herself out. I know we’re biased, but we think she really is the best dog on Earth. We hope all the other DID dogs had a great day too!

rubywet.jpgamythornMemberwe would love to come and meet cian soon…see if him and ruby get on okay…
amythornMemberhow is this little guy with kids?
amythornMemberI can’t believe this little guy is still looking for a home…he is such a cutie! I’m getting tempted to give Ruby a brother…
amythornMemberoh my god what a gorgeous little girl. i want her! ruby would be so jealous though…
amythornMemberliz and che- i so sorry to hear about millie. she was obviously a very loved little girl and a great life with you. im sure she knew how much you loved her. it is so hard when you lose a pet like this, but it does get easier eventually. rest in peace millie.
amythornMemberhi kathy,
we can help with pepper for a week or two if it’s urgent…although i’m sure he’ll have loads of offers! (going on holidays after that so can’t commit to a longer placement… )
amythornMemberWell, Ruby recovered from her operation without a bother…she didn’t even need to wear her crazy collar when we were home, although we still made her wear it when we went out, just to be safe…she’s back to her cheeky self now, loving her walks and playing in the park. She finally likes playing with other dogs and is happy to see any dog at all, until we try to pet or cuddle the competition! She’s very possessive of us…we’re trying to work on that. She is just the best girl…we love her so much! Thanks DID for letting us bring her home!
amythornMemberhi liz, so happy to see you and che with your new baby! i was thinking about you guys over the past week and wondering who you would end up with…she is a gorgeous baby! our ruby is a biter (only playing but still, it hurts!) and we have been giving her a firm "NO!" when she tries to bite and it seems to be working… she is an older pup though (over a year) so she already knows what NO means…
not sure about the paper training, i have some training spray which according to the pet store, you are supposed to spray on the papers and it is supposed to attract them to wee where you spray. we don’t use it as ruby is luckily totally trained, but if you want to give it a try i can drop it over to you. we’ve never used it and its just sitting here…
let me know about the spray and good luck with your new baby!

amythornMemberwe just asked the landlord when we first viewed our place. he wasn’t thrilled with the idea but said that if we agreed to pay a higher security deposit in case of damages it would be okay. we had him write it into our lease and haven’t had any probs…like someone said before, its a tough market now so they have to be more flexible with this kind of thing…
amythornMembera nice family of a mom and two boys had guy out today for a long walk. i’m pretty sure they filled out an application to adopt him and they seemed really excited about him! he is an absolutely gorgeous dog.
amythornMemberWell little Ruby was just dropped to the vet to be neutered… Poor girl was very nervous but I’m sure she’s in good hands. Steve is under strict instructions to phone me at work as soon as her hears that she’s done and okay! Paws crossed that she takes it in stride and will be as good as new in a few days…
