Well done, foster family!!
As a many times "failed (but I think succeeded!!!) fosterer", I am not one bit surprised you could not let this beauty go. A long and happy life to you, Cara!! And all the best to your fantastic new family. Happy Ever After. Ah Yvonne, I am in absolute awe of you and the wonderful job you did with Tess and her 3 gorgeous babies. You went several gazillion miles above and beyond the call of duty and to see all 4 in their "happy ever afters" is just amazing.
Of course your house will feel empty for a while but no doubt it will be filled again very quickly. Meanwhile, enjoy your well deserved rest – you are fantastic!!! Fantastic, Sammy. Especially as they can take photos of you standing on your head!!!!
Wishing you all the best in your fab new life. Well the ever beautiful Arthur spent the day in the vets with us yesterday and I just HAD to read back over his post to remind myself of his story!
The "breaking out of the kennel" is still ongoing – we placed him in a large kennel, door closed and secured with bags of food and THREE times, he followed me up the corridor to the waiting room!!! He had a bath and his shots and I so enjoyed meeting him. He is a big, strong lad, still a bit limpy from the arthritis but happy out and cute as a fox. All your birthdays came together when you met Kim and her lovely family, Arthur, and you have all the signs of a well loved and spoiled rotten doggie – just as you should be!!! Great to meet you. Stay well, gorgeous guy!!! This is another beaut that I met during my work experience at Terenure vets. I could not believe how quiet he is. He lay ALL DAY in his kennel and accepted, rather than craved, human contact. His kennel was scrupulously clean and he performed on cue when we brought him outside for a wee!!!
I was delighted when I saw he had gone into foster – he SO deserves it. Good luck, Sal. Ah it’s great to see Bailey, Carolyn! I am just finishing up a stint of work experience down in Terenure vets and I was MAD about this guy when he was there. He is, as you say, an absolute dote and so patient with everything.
I was thrilled when I heard you had taken him into foster cos I know he will get the best of everything !!! Best of luck, Bailey. Ah Tessa and Yvonne.
Huge congrats all round!! I have been watching and waiting for news. The puppies are only GORGEOUS!! And as for their mammy. . . . Thrilled to bits. I am really sorry for your loss but the pictures of her say so much about how happy and loved she was with you.
Be comforted by knowing that you gave her so many good years. Mind yourselves – it will get easier, I promise.
