I remember little Tess coming into Ashton. She had a very bad skin condition which which had never been treated and needed prolonged treatment. Justine and John took her into their home as a foster but I think Tess had other ideas and decided that her forever home was with Justine and John.

This little girl has certainly made up for lost time, she has had great adventures and a warm and loving home.

Rainbow Bridge has a new addition today.

    At rest Little Tess

I think you rehomed Jerry the JRT/Corgi X – I met you when you came to collect him. I remember Jerry was quite nervous but nevertheless very friendly. It does take a dog up to a month at least to settle into a new home but having said that I can see you would be concerned.

If anyone on the Board has experience or qualifications maybe they could contribute.

Siobhan brought Fairy to visit us in Ashton last Sunday. What a transformation, Fairy now has a shiny coat, wagging tail – she is in great form and she was happy to come for a walk – in my arms – on Sunday. It is wonderful to see this little dog who was so firghtened in the Pound now a part of a wonderful family.

    Many thanks Siobhan.

What a beauty our Flavis is. This girl has the most wonderful temperament, gentle and kind. Loves dogs and people – absolutely terrific on the lead and a real pleasure to walk.

I met Baxter in the Pound this afternoon – he is so friendly and only tiny – much smaller than his photo. If you can offer Baxter a foster home please PM Kay Doyle or post here.

On bringing her new baby home from hospital a friend of mine wrapped him in a sweater she had been wearing before introducing him to her two dogs. The dogs were familiar with her scent and readily accepted the baby – 4 years and another baby later all are living happily together.

    Hope this helps.
