 I just can’t help myself – I am soooo pathetic and get very excited when I see poor dogs coming out of a horrible situation into the care of DID. Tazmin will still be very stressed with the, albeit very good, changes in her life but I have no doubt whatsoever that she will blossom under you very good care. I think she ssems to have a bit of a Whippet tail. Maybe that is what gives her the ability to run :? . Not her tail obviously  the possible Whippet bit within :). Anyway, I am so very happy for her and enjoyed reading your first posting, thank you:D.

:D How nice to see this little dog in a house and even better, no bits of string attached ;) Yet another needy mutt under the warm, safe wings of a great DID foster family. So happy for Tazmin, its all good now. I very much look forward to her journey here on in ;)

    :) Dear greyT

Thank you so much for surrounding my Cassie with a golden star. I know I keep calling her ‘my Cassie’ because there are many other dogs called Cassie but she is our one and only Cassie. She was an old girl when she came home to us, her family. My ONLY regret regarding Cassie was that she was not younger when she ‘landed’ here and could have enjoyed her life for a great deal longer. I do take heart from the fact she was very much part of the family, was fed, watered and sheltered as the rest of us and given veterinary treatment when she needed it. She loved squeaky toys but they never lasted long  , used to have a ‘smiley’ mouth when she was alseep 8-) and was just a dear, sweet little dog who is greatly missed. She was the leader of our little pack and protector of her family both canine and human. I am sure she is with us still, she will certainly never be forgotten – exactly the same as all our other dogs who have departed their ‘physical’ life on the planet. She gave us the unbreakable link with DID :D

:D You are right Audrey, we wii have to build an extension onto the house quite soon ;) . We trotted off to a very small agricultural show today, you know sheep, ponies, pets corner and dog show. Nellie wellie and I returned with one rosette, one dog tooth brush, two poo bag dispensers (with poo bags), one pound as in £1.00, a £5.00 token for Eukanuba dog food and a pen:D Her grandad was delighted with the goodies she brought home. She is now on my bed chewing a chew bone. Back to dog training on 1st September so better get practicing or Norma will know that we have been up to no good, as in not practicing for 5 minutes a day  That’s it from Nellie world for the moment :)

:) I was very pleased to see you at the top of the page a couple of days ago Snowy. Hundreds of lonely people out there and you would be the best little friend for so many different types of people. I am sure you are very happy in your foster home but there is nothing like being part of your very own family.
You are an adorable little mutt 8-)

Twinkle, Twinkle little star, what kind of weekend did you have? Early run in the country followed by a morning dip? You really do have the most beautiful face 8-)

I have tried to work out what breeds may be involved in the lovely little Tara. Here is what I think; bit of Terrier, Whippet/Lurcher, Lab and German Shepherd. She does have a Shepherd face, just needs the tips of those ears to stand up and that would be that. How is she getting on? I know its early days, sorry for all the postings – blame the weather here in "sunny" Scotland  I will have to get the flippers on!

:D Good afternoon Snowy. I hope you are currently indoors. I say that because we are in the process of being drowned by rain. Maybe you are lying in bright sunshine in you garden? Have you been up to anything exciting recently? :)

:o Poor Suggs  . Maybe he will end up being a ‘stunt dog’. Won’t we all look silly when he is living it up in Hollywood?

:o "Having a snooze in the garden" has to take top prize for best image of the day. Fantasic photo of a fantasic puppy dog. He will be so unusual and gorgeous when he has grown up, can’t imaging how big he will be? Huge paws and little short legs – or is it camera angle?

:) Thank you. I too, am sure that our dogs are always with us, but its still very difficult trying to deal with their lack of physical presence on daily basis but never far from our thoughts. ;)

:D Thankyou both for the kind comments. Even people reading the blog thinking "who is Cassie" is good. She is running through peoples’ thoughts. She REALLY built the road between the great DID and myself, thanks Cass :D
