MemberWell that vet fellow was quite helpful and found that I still have sutures inside me from the time I was neutered which could have been years ago! How mad is that? I have to get a little mole removed soon so I can get the the sutures removed at the same time. So really it was good I got checked or else I could have ended up having to have 2 little ops which I would not like one little bit.
Going to start mammy training like you suggested – She better sit and give the paw for our next outing or else I am trading her in!

MemberHello,
I really anjoyed my day at Festina Lente today seeing all the other bow wows. I had had my bath last night so I was all fluffy and clean to meet and greet. I went into the rescue dogs competition and I did not get a ribbon but my mammy thinks I am still a big winner! (Personally I think mammy lost the competition for us as she did not sit and lie down – I was perfect!) I was pretty clever though and spotted the winning dog straight away and it was the one I barked at (Intimidating the competition was my strategy!).
My mammy made me get checked by the vet which I HATE so i was a bit cross then. It was still a great day (Despite that vet fellow – Need to avoid them!). Sooo many bums to sniff (And it took me so long to leave as I had to stop every 20 seconds to make over doggy smells which is one of my favourite things to do!).
I hope you made some money to help other woofs out – Keep up the great work helping people like my mammy and daddy to have better lives because of rescue fluffs like me.
Big licks,
FloP.S. Pepsi could not come today as she is quite nervous with other dogs but we have had a sleep over for the last 3 nights.

MemberHi Indianna and Nellie,
I just wanted to tell you about my friend Pepsi the Patterdale. She was in Dog’s Trust and they feared she would never get a home. She has scars and was terrified of everything (She really had the worst type of start to life). They tried rehoming her and it failed a couple of times. However, she was very stressed living life in kennels (Even though they were super kind to her). My granny and gramps adopted her and understood that they instruction was to leave her until she was ready to come to them. They did not mind one bit and felt they could give a home to a doggy with her special needs (They know that she needs time and love and she will blossom!)
They had her a year and then their daughter (My mammy) adopted me to try and help her. As I was super confident and very little. I love her very much and we play together lots. As I am very affectionate, I help her to see that people are not too bad and in fact can be very kind. She is a beauty – Patterdales are! She had such a rotten time and I want to help her. She is very funny and lets me jump all over her. We walk together most days and then go back to the grandparents for treats. They have her 15 months and still she will not let grandad pet her (But she will overcome her fear to take treats from his hand when she sees me doing it). He is really kind as he just wants her life to be easier and is happy to keep waiting for her to overcome her fears. They dont mind and will keep loving her and trying to show her that people really can love doggies. I am a great help though – They all say it.
I just wanted to share my Patterdale Pepsi story as I know Indianna follows our story and is a great Patterdale mammy. I would love to see more pics of Nellie (As I am now convinced that Pepsi is shaving as she looks just like Nellie but with short hair like velvet)
Lots of love,
Flo xxxdf77
MemberThis post brought a tear to my eye – I did not realise she had been adopted.
Whoever adopted her got a beautiful lady – I was so taken with her.
Good luck Rose – You deserve the world,
Dee (Flo’s mammy)

MemberWow oh wow oh wow!
I have just come back from my jolly holidays and boy did I have fun!
I was on a HUGE beach and there were loads of doggies and I made friends with them all.
Then my mum and dad were naughty and went to a place called ‘The Pub’ and brought me with them. This was a great place that had an outdoor garden with heaps of dogs. I made lots of doggy friends there also – They were called Brandy, Murphy and Flossie. We all played together and I was a real hit.
I was such a hit that people actually asked if they could get their picture taken with me – no joke! I felt like Beyonce!
Then I went to the local butcher Mickey Joe and he told me to call back the next day and he had a bag of big juicy bones for me. It was like Christmas Day.
I missed my home pals Pepsi and Lola but I sure did have fun. My mum and dad could not believe how great I was at this travelling lark. I thought it was super – Especially when the sun was out and they had the roof down on the car. I have my very own seatbelt so I am very safe. My dad made me a little platform in the back seat so I an see out. I also could let my jumbo ears blow in the wind when the roof was down.
I will post lots of pictures soon – I looked fabulous so the folks took loads of pics!
Tell Christine and Shane that I even had to bring Humpy the cushion with me. I brought him out to the garden every morning as it was so sunny.
I am quite the little superstar celeb in Donegal and am definitely going back. I texted Pepsi the dog and we are going there together during the Summer. I cant wait. Although I was a bit excited to be home too… Actually, I am excited about everything cos I am such a happy super sweet girl.
Big licks to all my DiD pals,

MemberHallo all!
Just sending you my latest update. I am really enjoying the sunny weather. I love sitting out in the balcony and also have moved my cushion to in front of the window so I can stretch out in the sun.
I am still visiting Pepsi a lot and boy do we have fun! She is starting to show me who is boss and ate my dinner the other day but I dont mind and am still happy and smiley.
My granny called the other day and brought me a big juicy bone and it was the BEST ever. I have been gnawing it ever since.
I have made lots of dog friends where I live. We live on the ground floor and have a gate in our balcony. So all the dogs come and call in and I can go out to play with them. My favourite is a puppy called Lola. She is the same size as me but runs and bounces. When she runs, I run. Then when we catch each other we roll over in a big ball on the grass. She is turning me into a puppy. We were out playing for over an hour today and I needed big naps after.
I cant wait for my Easter holidays because there are lots of dogs where I am going. Lots of walks and dogs – What could be better (Maybe a juicy bone)
I have been better at puddling – I am really trying.
I have a new game now – I go to the door loke I have to wee and when my dad gets up to let me out, I run and jump on his seat and steal it.
Hello to all my old pals,

MemberHallo,
Today I went to the Dog Run in Shankill (It is just across the road from me but I have not liked it so much until now as it was very wet and muddy for us furry smallies). It was full of big dogs and little dogs and Pepsi showed me how to chase dogs. I had a blast. I am very very tired though and am going to have a nap now.
I cant wait to go there lots and lots in the Summer.
I am being brought to a place called Donegal for Easter where there is a beach right beside the house and I can run for miles and miles. I want to see what all this fuss about sandy beaches is!

MemberHallo –
Just to say Flo is still the furry apple of our eye! I was sick for a week and confined to bed and Flo was in every morning and would jump up on the side of the bed and lick my hand until I lifted her up. She snuggled in and really seemed to know I was sick and needed cheering up. Even when she was in the sitting room with Colin she would wander in and out to the bedroom periodically to check on me – It was really endearing.
Me being sick was a bit of a blessing in a way as Flo only really liked walking on the lead with me so the week gave her the time to start going with Colin on his own.
Yesterday, she went to the park on a walk with Colin. Then today, we all went to Wicklow harbour for a walk. Then on the way home we called for Pepsi and got another walk in on Bray seafront. The two of them are so cute – Flo adores Pepsi and Pepsi acts as if Flo is an irritating little sister but at the same time is watching her at all times and hates when Flo ignores her. (Flo goes running to the front door as soon as we open the car door and runs in searching for Pepsi and barrels into her – It is really sweet!)
Flo makes friends wherever she goes with her sunny disposition. We love her so much and she rewards us with non stop love and enthusiasm!
I do have a question around toilet training though – She does continue to puddle in the house. She goes out lots and does wee outside loads (And does go to the door etc) but she has little accidents quite frequently. She is not incontinent (As she does not leak – she squats so knows she is about to go). It is not a huge issue as we have tiled floors and heaps of anti bacterial spray (And lots of patience) but just wondering of anyone has any tips? We dont react when she goes in the house and praise her loads when she goes outside (And if we see her starting to squat in the house we say ‘No’ and she stops and goes to the door and we heap praise on her). Just wondering if we could improve anything? She seems to drink an extraordinary amount of water compared to other dogs and it is a bit surprising as she is so tiny! As I said – It is not a big issue but obviously would be better if we could train her fully (Although Colin finds it hilarious to see me hopping to the shower when I have stepped in yet another puddle in my socks!)Big ‘hi’ to everyone from Flo. She is such a little dote and made our apartment a real home!
