    Delighted to see you in foster Rocky :D ! Your buddy looks like he had one too many leaning sideways on the kennel!! :lol:

    More photos of Charlie, he is just so gorgeous I cant help take pix of him! Doesnt help that he is my favourite breed of all time!! :D

    Forgot to add… Charlie has fantastic recall…. 100% so far! on our walks, he runs off & comes back every couple of minutes to make sure I am still there :D

    I really don’t know how these amazing dogs end up in foster care….

    Charlie is absolutely stunning…. the photos really do not do him justice, he is just so beautiful. A big, soft, cuddly bear!!

    We picked him up on Friday. He is a big boy! He is quite boisterous at the mo but I would say its down to his new surroundings, he is settling in well and gets on great with our 4. Good with chickens, ducks and horses… although he did chase the horses initially.

    Will send a further update once we get to know him better.

    Just wanted to let you know that my boy Dougie is on the mend, he is not out of the woods yet but he is home since last week and he is feeling much better.

    Could everyone please please please say a prayer for Dougie, my love, my real life guardian angel & best friend. He has been in the vets since Friday & is not very well. My heart is about to break… He came into my life for a reason and I am not ready to let him go…. Please send LOTS of positive thoughts & vibes his way xx

    Hi mightybelle,

    I too was very touched to read your post. I just want to let you know, that Bailey is VERY much loved and cared for by us. We have had him for about 3 weeks now and he is amazing- to be honest, I don’t want to let him go. I knew by him that at some stage, he was a loved member of a family. Within days of having him he thought us all of the tricks he knew. He is great with our little boy.

    He is an absolute beauty, stunning. Please please rest assured that he is in the best possible hands with DID and that we, as his foster parents are absolutely spoiling him rotten. At the moment, he has 2 sisters (a german shepard and a german wire haird pointer) and also 2 brothers (a hungarian vizsla & our little dolly mixture boy) who he gets on great with.

    We bring him out for walks by the river every day, he gets two nice hearty meals a day, meat stews and pasta to fatten him up.

    What can I say about this guy…. not only is he absolutely beautiful he is also such a gent.

    He was skin & bone when we first got him but is slowly putting on weight. Average weight for male Weimaraners is 30-40kg, Bailey was barely 10kg :-(. Anyway it is ONWARDS AND UPWARDS FOR HIM NOW, only positives coming his way :-)

    Even though he is so thin, he is so gentle taking treats and has absolutely no food issues at all. He gets on great with the other dogs, never a bark or a growl. He loves going for walks although I am trying to keep them short as I want him to gain weight not loose it! His recall is great :-)

    I have a feeling there is lots more to his personality, we just haven’t seen it yet :-)
