This guy was out with another volunteer that I met. He was good on the lead. Very quiet. Not interested in treats. Just quite happy to walk alongside his walker. Didn’t pull on the lead.

That makes sense. He seemed quite down. He had a real sad look in his eyes!! Poor wee fella!

Walked this guy today. He’s very quiet and very good on the lead. Loves sniffing long grass. He decided at one point that he wasn’t walking any further and stopped. Managed to coax him a bit more. After a while he stopped and turned around and started walking back to the pound. Tried to coax him into a field for a run around but he was having none of it…he dug his heels in this time. And then started walking back to the pound. Never before have I seen a dog that’s happy to go back into the pound. Wasn’t interested in treats at all.

You could try one of those pheromone plug in things…but they are quite expensive.

Or wear a t shirt to bed and then give it to him to keep in his bed. A friend of mine did this and it really settled her two dogs. They just wanted her smell, it must have made them feel safe.
