When we were training our puppy we found he was going to the toilet in exactly the same place inside. I did a bit of research and found that he could smell his scent where he had peed, even though I used carpet cleaner on it.

So we got some special puppy carpet shampoo that got rid of his scent and that helped us a lot. Not sure if that applies to you but it really helped with Ollie.

Laura’s advice is great and should really help you too. TG we were training Ollie during the summer, and it was easier to leave the back door open all the time!

She might have heard, that she is going to scool on Sunday morning instead of roling under the blanket once more if she is not a superlovely to everyone and decided better to be . lol[/quote:lp9olbkf]

Haha, and it’s not just a Sunday morning, but a Sunday morning on the side of a bloody freezing cold mountain!

The class was good, but Ollie was not! The teacher asked everyone to get the dogs to sit and give them their attention. I looked around and all the dogs were obediently staring up at their owners, while Ollie was doing everything in his power to ignore me and escape to play with the other doggies  . We’ll do better next week!

Just got Ollie booked in for training classes with the DSPCA on Sunday morning (8.45 start :o ) so will let you know how we get on. I believe the Colgan family will be there with their lot too, so we can give a good review between us!

We are super soft with Ollie, he’s a great boy, and small, and we let him climb all over us. He loves to hop up on your lap and stand with his paws on your shoulders to give kisses, we think its super cute  but it seems not everyone like it, oops!

I was going to mention the DSPCA too, although I’ve never been either, they have specific classes for socialisation, so it’s a more controlled environment. We’re thinking of bringing Ollie to a class too. He’s pretty good overall with discipline, so it’s really to teach us how to be better with him and more stict.

Laura, thanks a million, I was quite worried about this particluar little habbit.

He gets so excited when he sees the other dogs and loves playing with them, and basically anyone who gives him attention (not much of a guard dog), so I’m working on a leave it command, and he’s pretty good at at least acknowledging a whistle, even if he doesn’t always come straight back. He’s quite young still… or at least that’s my excuse.

    Thanks for your help!!

Aw when Ollie came home from being neutered he looked so sorry for himself :( , but I think now really he was just playing up to us, he could sense we were babying him I think  . Definatley playing up though cause within an hour or 2 he was fine and running around playing like always, haha.

Glad to hear Tigra got on ok! :D

I wrote to my five TDs about this after seeing this on the DSPCA website and two of them wrote back to me, after bringing it up with John Gormley.

I don’t know if it makes a difference but I feel better for doing something, anything about this issue.

He is the cutest dog in the whole world ever, although I am a bit biased.

He’s a bit spoiled but still well behaved, most of the time. He really is the best little dog ever, he loves cuddles and loves to stand with his paws on your shoulders and give kisses. ;)

He loves people and other dogs and gets so excited when we bring him to the dog park in Marley, we live close-by. Everyone (even non-dog people) love him and he loves them.

He is the happiest little thing, and wags his tail till he nearly falls over when we get home, which makes life worth living frankly.

Ok, I know, more photos, but I just can’t resist…

Just had the best Christmas ever with the fab Ollie, we love him to bits and can’t thank DID enough for allowing us to adopt him.

Laura, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I’ve been following Lucy for the last few weeks and was logging on to see if there was any news from her operation.

As everyone else has said you should be really proud of all the love you gave Lucy and all the happiness you gave her in the last few weeks.

I’m devastated for you and will be thinking of you and your family.

Ollie’s latest photo shoot – he’s getting groomed on Friday so I took a few last pics of my fluff bomb.

He loves to lie on his back and chew it toys.
