Kerri – renamed Boots (because he boots it around the house) has settled in great! Her and her sister Maggie are just best mates – but like all sisters – have their little tiffs too
Boots has got to be the most affectionate dog i’ve ever met! She was a little low on confidence when we got her, but that’s slowly building up & she’s everyones friend! She also got her coat chopped for the summer so she looks a little like an arctic fox at the minute

She’s such a lovely dog – but she needs a lot of patience & care. Well done pipandboo – she seems to be settling well with you. She did do the odd accident in our house too, but for the most part she was housetrained.
I can’t wait to see how she progresses from here . . . . . . .cathyoconnMemberWow! He is just like a minature version of Kerri. If his personality is anything like hers someone would be very very lucky to adopt this little fella
cathyoconnMemberWell, We are the very very lucky people to adopt this beautiful girl! She really is a stunner. She has such a personality & just wants to play play play. Herself and Maggie run rings around each other -it’s hilarious to watch. I think the two girls are gonna be best mates
Here’s some pics of the stunner

IMG_5765 (Small).JPGcathyoconnMemberHiya Anne,
She’s great at travelling. She jumps into the back of the car & just sits there with her tongue hanging out, looking out the window. At the beginning she was a little nervous in the car & wouldn’t jump in on her own, but I think that was more of a trust issue than anything. She really is great now & jumps up herself.
If you’ve any other queries about her just ask!
Cathy
cathyoconnMemberHey Indianna!
She’s a very smart little cookie. She knows exactly when it’s bedtime & tries to sneak up the stairs before we coax her into the kitchen with the rest of the dogs! When she’s sleepy – it’s as though she gets a little grumpy or something – she settles down somewhere (usually beside you on the couch), but if you disturb her suddenly or reach over for something beside her she gets a fright & will instantly just have a go at you – she knows straight away that she’s done something wrong & jumps down off the couch. The poor thing just gets so scared. This is happening less and less often though which is a good sign that she’s getting over it. She doesn’t have any tricks yet, but she’s a proper little guard dog & always always wants cuddles!cathyoconnMemberHere’s some more pics of the lovely Jessie.

Whos at the door?
Hi!
cathyoconnMemberJessie is such a funny little dog! She absolutely LOVES her walks – her tail just goes crazy wagging. She has no problems interacting with other dogs & loves to have a roll around in the grass. As soon as she smells something interesting, she just has to have a roll
She’s getting really comfortable now & if she ever gets bored she gives a little growl & bark to say ‘come on – throw me a ball or something’!
She is really interacting well with everyone she meets – the only time we have to be careful of her now is when she is sleepy – we think she has nightmares or something, so we just don’t let her fall asleep on the couch – other than that she is a really lovely dog who will make someone very very happy! Everytime we leave the house she sits at the window & waits for us to come home! She’s such a sweetheart! I just hope she finds someone to give her a forever home soon so that she can finally settle somewhere – she’s been through so much already.cathyoconnMemberI just couldn’t resist – I got this gorgeous picture of her today & it just melts your heart! She really had come out of her shell as well as her old coat of matted hair. All the care she’s gotten since she came into the care of Dogs in Distress is just brilliant & it’s brought her to the happy little dog she is today. On behalf of Jessie I just thought I’d thank everyone for all their good wishes & help. I know her forever home is just around the corner – all she needs is a patient loving owner & she’ll give you all the loyalty & snuggles you could ask for.
Poser!
Snoozing on the couch with Maggie
cathyoconnMemberWe brought Jessie up to Marley Park yesterday to the big Doggie Day Out for the DSPCA & she got on Great – loved having a sniff at all the other dogs & just thrived on the attention that she got – loads of kids running over to pet her. She got the bucket off her head aswell so she’s really happy now. Here some more pics of her!
cathyoconnMemberJessie is doing great! She is more and more relaxed every day she’s with us. We’re picking her up much more & she hardly snaps anymore. She’s much more gentle & all she needs is someone to trust. Once she trusts you 100%, there’s nothing this girl won’t do. She’s still very nervous with strangers, but she just needs a little socialisation to sort this out. she loves cuddles & keeps coming back for more. If you want to know anything else about her personality just ask! Hopefully she’ll be getting the bucket off her head & stitches out on Saturday
cathyoconnMemberPics as promised! Jessie really is a happy happy dog these days Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this cutie is going to get a lot of love from her!
cathyoconnMemberJessie just keeps getting better and better. She was neutered on Wednesday & is wandering around with a bucket on her head at the moment. It’s taken her a while to get used to the dimensions of it
I have to say though – her personality just keeps improving. She is so comfortable with us now that she is very gentle – she lets us pick her up & although I wouldn’t be completely comfortable letting her play with young children, I think there is definitely room for improvement there. She is much less possessive than before & is going around with her tail held high!
She is brilliant on the lead – she’s just happy to walk along beside you – not pulling at all & interested in everything around her. She’s still a little nervous of new people and dogs – but that doesn’t last too long before she’s over looking for a play and a rub!
I’ll put up some more pictures latercathyoconnMemberI arrived home yesterday to find this little lady literally jumping for joy! She was dying to have a play and she kept waking maggie up from her snoozes so that they could play tug of war with a squeaky ball. She’s hilarious! I’ve never seen a dogs tail wag so fast before in my life! She really is a happy content dog & she’s eating properly out of her bowl now. At the start, she was very nervous about going out the back garden or making much noise – now she’s running out the door & making it known when she wants in again !!!
We’re taking her to get neutered tomorrow – so i’m sure we’ll have a sad little doggie for a few days but hopefully she’ll be back bouncing around the place in no time!
She sends big kisses & hugs to you & your family Linda -
