MemberWell Indiana, its so happens that the lovely Keeley is my houseguest for the weekend
She is soooo good. She has met lots of neighbours, come with me to transport a dog, come with me to friends for a visit and generally adapted very well to new situations. She loves her walks, has been eating well and sleeping well. She loves to have a short puppyish charge on her long lead which is lovely to see; she is still a young dog. I am so impressed with the way she is coping…and she is sooo gentle! Everyone falls in love with her
Who wouldn’t

MemberThat is all excellent advice 3lablady and goes for so many dogs. You should do up a small booklet! I am going to print it off for people I meet who think of Guide Dogs when they think of getting a lab!
Marley sounds like a fab puppy who is in exactly the right foster home to give him the tools for a happy life eventuallyWell done!

MemberKeeley spent a few days in the vets last week
She had to have iv antibiotics for gum and teeth infections, few teeth removed and she was spayed. However she was really well looked after there and got back home for Santa She decided against the cone
Got rid of it in jig time
I loaned her Boris’s Comfy collar which is a blow up one but she decided against that one too
She was so happy to be home to Brian. Keeley got her stitches out today and Brian says she is really playing now, with balls socks, gloves hats……
She must be so much more comfortable and healthy. She was happy to say hello to every one at the vets and is just so much more confident, and has also put on more weight
which of course we all want in this case!! Everyone falls in love with her. She now needs her forever home to continue her fantastic journey for the rest of her life

MemberKeeley has had a very busy week. She came to me for a sleep date last Saturday as her foster daddy hadn’t been out for weeks, looking after his lovely charge
(I had to send him pics and texts all th time to put his imind at rest
) Keeley was wonderful considering where she started from…coming into a strange house and meeting my 8 and 10 year old niece and nephew. She is so gentle
They loved her
When it came to bed time I had decided that I would take her up with me and i set her bed down close to mine, switched off the light and laydown. In an instant she magically appeared beside me in one smooth movement
Then she settled down on the pillow
Keeley loves her comforts and company
I collected her foster Dad Brian at lunctime the next day, who by the way had texted at 8.10am on Sunday morning…worrying again
It was a very very happy reunion when she we went to collect Brian, lots of tail wagging..by both of them
We took her to the dog park and she had a great run with the ball. Have a great vid of her on the phone…just can’t get it off my phone and onto the laptop yet…arg!!!! But what a sweetieblueindigo
