tiggerMember
R.I.P my darling Ruby, I’m heartbroken at the news. I know Liz loved you dearly and I never worried about you. You were the most easy going little dog to foster and our longest foster. You will always be in our hearts.
tiggerMemberFor anyone who remembers the lovely Woody, I got a text from his mammy today to say he is alive and well and doing great. It’s three years ago today since he left my house and we still talk about him…..hope he has many more years with his family
tiggerMemberI met this lovely girl last Sunday. She was very unsure of the pound and was shaking in her cage. She is sooooo pretty and seems to have been well cared for. Makes me wonder where on earth are her owners????????
tiggerMemberDes is a lovely dog who gets on really well with the other dogs and wanted to play with a gsd we met out in the field. He was in his bed when I went into the kennel to take him out and seem anxious of me coming close in a confined space, he was the same when I brought him back in. It strikes me as if his owner didn’t show much kindness. Once he is out he loves a good sniff around and was very friendly.
tiggerMemberI spent time with Donnie at the weekend and he is just a heartbreaker. Life has not been kind to him and he wears the marks of neglect all over his thin body. I feel he may be being overlooked in the pound by potential owners because he isn’t in good shape. I have a boxer I rescued a few years ago who was in much worse shape than Donnie and yet within a few short months of good food and tlc he was transformed and so could Donnie. Despite this he is a really placid and gentle boy who would not be demanding in any home. He walked along by my side just glad to be out in the fresh air and he loved a bit of affection. He has been on my mind all week but unfortunatly I am not in a position to foster at the moment.
tiggerMemberR.I.P. Calum. I met him in the pound while he was ill, very beautiful dog.
tiggerMemberAh Kim, I’m so sorry to hear this. Henry was one in a million and I think as the saying goes "when god made you he matched you".
tiggerMemberI have to agree they were made for each other, Woody and his new mammy are inseperable. I think Woody was a cat in a previous life – he certainly has nine lives. He gave us all a scare for a while. I met him and his mammy for a walk in Tara during the summer and he is just devoted to her. Hopefully a few visits to Weight Watchers and he’ll be right as rain again
tiggerMemberShe is lovely! She is also the spitting image of Jodie I fostered last year (and later adopted). Only difference is she has a long tail and some genius out there docked Jodies. Hope she gets a great home.
tiggerMemberSo very sad to read this. R.I.P. little Ellie.
tiggerMemberGreat to hear Toto is doing so well .
tiggerMemberThe lovely Jodie is now in her forever home …… with me! After nearly seven months of foster she felt like she was home already. She was the most challenging foster we have had but the most rewarding. Jodie just needed someone to show her the way and someone she could trust. To send her off to start over again would have just felt cruel and I think she would have thought we had abandoned her. I have cried every time a foster dog went off to their new home but it was different this time, it felt like we would be giving up part of our family. We are very proud of her and love her to bits and are delighted that she will be staying with us.
tiggerMemberI’m so relieved to see this lovely guy in fostercare. Well done to whoever has him – enjoy him!
tiggerMemberShe is just gorgous! There was a lovely video on utube of her called Sophie’s holiday
tiggerMemberJodie is doing great here and has learned to play fetch. She is just brilliant with a tennis ball and the minute she gets out of the car she is watching for the ball. It is saving my poor legs too, she gets to cover twice the ground than I have too. She will drop the ball at my feet and start bouncing for me to throw it again. She could do with teaching her companions to ‘leave it’, Tigger and Ben think the objective is to chew on the ball and give it back when it is in two halves! So I am keeping Euro 2 in business buying tennis balls. It has also improved her recall too because she is so interested in what I’m doing she comes as soon as she is called. She is always very eagar to say hello to other dogs she meets but if she is playing ball it hold her attention and she doesn’t bother. I am totally smitten with this dog, she reminds me of my first boxer dog also a female (although Jodie is a lot less trouble!!) so intelligent and a stunner too.
