MemberThe lovely Flavia was out walking last Sunday. She is so pretty and very gentle with people and other dogs. Hope she gets out soon. Too cold in the pound at the moment for her and all the other lovely doggies

MemberPoor little guy, he must be in a lot of discomfort with his ear infection. How severe it is to cause such widespread infection. Hope he is feeling better soon and the best of luck at the vets tomorrow.

MemberSaw Flash out today, What a lovely dog. Any potential dog owners looking for a beautiful dog, she will make you smile, laugh and probably wear you out a little with walks and activities, please check out the fabulous flash.

MemberFlash is a lovely girlie, only a big baby really. She was delighted to get out for a walk today. She is very affectionate and does jump up a bit looking for cuddles so a house with very small children would probably not be suitable. She was whimpering a bit out in the field, she is desperatly lost and was anxious to see who was arriving in the cars. She has a beautiful face, very gentle girl.

MemberIt was great to see Flavia out and about this morning. She is a beautiful looking dog with her gorgeous doe eyes. She looked very relaxed and her tail was wagging non stop. She seems grand with other dogs and was not perturbed by getting a sniff from the big cuddley mastiff. She was posing for photos and rolled over for a belly rub too.

MemberIts hard to believe that Des is sitting with Lucille relaxed and happy, he will spend his first night in a warm loving foster home away from the cold pound. It is fantastic and only possible with the help of DID and caring people who are in a position to offer the lifelines. Its great!!! Thanks

MemberI saw this lovely dog out today, he is very handsome. He really did not want to go back inside the pound door, poor fella.

MemberI am sad to see that Flavia is no longer out in the front kennels, she is a staffie so I appreciate the pound has rules. I met her on Sunday morning, she was a new arrival and she looked really scared in her cage. She is chipped, I wonder if the chip is registered. She is a gentle dog, but very nervous. Her eyes were a little bloodshot and I am sure that was due to the stress she was experiencing in this alien enviroment that she had found herself in. She is good on the lead and although I was cautious about introducing her to other dogs she was very friendly and gave a gentle sniff nose to nose. She shook for our initial walk out together and was a little aprehensive of me but she eventually untucked her tail and was happy out and about. She was very scared going back in so I took her on another round and she relaxed again. She met some young girls was very friendly towards them, looked as if she was used to children. She looks in very good condition so please hope that her owners are found and want her back. If not I appeal to someone to offer her a rescue or a forever home but it will be difficult from the pound. It was hard to put her back in her cage but she did go in eventually. She just trembled from then on, every time I went over to her, her hind legs shook. She is a good dog without a doubt.

MemberI met Fiona this morning. She is really lovely. She has problems with her sight but to what extent it is not clear. She looks very healthy otherwise. She has a white/red flecked coat which you can not see from the photo and really she is not that old looking except for her eyes. It is probably unlikely that a dog her age will get into foster so Fiona is probably looking for a forever or a retirement home

MemberOut Now means that the dog has been surrendered. It could be that Fiona belonged to some one that has sadly passed away. Legally the pound are only obliged to keep surrendered dogs for 24 hours. The danger now is that the pound is getting full and there will be no kennel spaces available, the Out Now dogs are in danger of been be pts if no offer of rescue or foster is available
Are you in a position to foster Fiona, if your cats are dog tolerant than there is a good chance that they will get along ok. Only take on what what you are able for.ladles
MemberYou’re great!! She will have a happy rest of her life with you. Thank you
