Urgh I posted a long one on this guy and then my net crashed :(

Isn’t he a cutie in those photos? He’s adorable :)

Well, I finally let him off lead yesterday. Firstly with our beagle, who is a bit of a wanderer when she catches a scent, so his freedom didn’t last too long as I was nervous he’d follow her if she went off on the scooby trail .. Second time was with our collie, who is afraid of her own shadow and never goes far, so he was off for longer. Ian was right – he loved it. He was darting all over the field but when I called him back he came first time. I’m well impressed at how quickly he’s picked up his name. Considering he hasn’t even been here a week …. We brought a football and his stick and he was happy out with those and all the new scents and playing with our collie. He was in heaven :D

He’s a great guy. Sometimes he looks so like a cute little puppy and other times he looks older. I dunno what is is about him! Either way he’s the perfect male – perfect looks and personality

we are quite full here at the moment too with three of our own and one foster but this is killing me seeing the poor mum & pups and i’m sure we could help for a night or two if something more permanent could be sorted .. so sorry that we can’t help more long term :(

thank you ian :D he was gas with the little football yesterday. muireann had told me he loved football but it was hilarious. he was actually stoppin the ball with his front paw and jumping over it & all. we love watching him play. he’s just so full of mischief and fun. he’s in the back room playing with our collie all morning. i took some photos but i’m trying to go through them to pick out the ones that don’t look like they are eating/killing one another lol  as much as i’m dyin for this little lad to find the right home there will be lots of tears when he’s leaving :( he’s brilliant.
am gonna try him off lead later today i think .. ;)

We had Frodo out with us today to meet my sister’s dog Bella. They had a blast in the garden playin together and running around after tennis balls and sticks  He just seems to adapt to any situation and he gets stuck in with the fun.

There were a lot of kids there today too and again, he just adapted. I was a little worried about him as he’s so young and the kids are all quite young too and were right up in his face and making lots of noise and wanting to rub him etc but he just lapped it all up. He got super excited and loved every second of the attention :D

After watching him running around on his extendable lead in the mucky field with our two dogs yesterday I’m convinced this little guy would love agility stuff. He’s amazing. For such a small pup he was at the heels of my collie (who is a flyer!) the whole time and then he’d change his mind and come looking for me to throw his stick (yes, he has a stick ;) ) and he’d run off and bring it back. All on the extendable lead god love him cos I was so nervous about letting him off. There’s a doggy park quite near us so we’re gonna bring him there over the weekend and I’ll try him out. He answers to his name now but it’s only about 75% of the time. I think that other 25% of the time he’s just having too much fun though

Can’t praise this little guy enough. You’d think he’d lived here all his life cos he’s just slotted right in :D

He is just back from a mucky walk in the rain and he has serious energy! He just wants to run with the other dogs and be part of the pack.

He slept great again last night. He ate grand this morning but he scoffed down his tea! It was hilarious looking at him. He’s not a great drinker so I’m trying to get him to drink a little more water at times.

He’s got such a big bark for the little fella he is

When you look at him face on he looks older than the puppy that he is. He’s ADORABLE. He’s a little performer too and loves to jump up to catch hold of a toy or a stick and he can stand on two legs for much longer than is natural for a four-legged creature  He even sticks in a twirl if he’s in good mood

He’s such a cutie. His hair is sooooo soft and the way he looks up at you just melts your heart ;)

    Food time :)

    Say cheeeeeeese

And for my next trick ….

    Cute boy ;)

Here are some of the photos of Frodo I took today. So far so good with this little lad. Seems to be well house-trained and has had zero accidents so far in the house or in the crate. In fairness, we’ve had him out a lot over the weekend so the true test will be from tomorrow onwards when we get back into our regular routine. He can be vocal when he needs to though so I really think if there are any accidents it’ll be my own fault!
He was wrecked after this trek to the woods today and was good as gold all afternoon after his little nap :)
He’s been playing really, really well with our beagle which is brilliant as she’s very good at training the little pups and putting manners on them. I’m surprised he’s managed to win her over though as she’s the ice queen with all the newbies for a little while
He’s tucked up in bed right now and he’ll be heading out for his last walk fairly soon. Not a peep out of him :D

Frodo slept great last night. He wouldn’t eat for us when we came home last night but he ate all of his breakfast this morning without issue :D

He came for a walk in the woods with me and one of my friends aswell as one of our own dogs and my friends dog too. He loved it!!!! He doesn’t pull at all on the lead but he’s a strong enough little thing for the size of him

He’s getting on great with the girls here. I thought there might be some issues bringing a lad into the house but so far so good. He’s fast asleep now as I write and I reckon he’s gonna sleep for ages to be honest. We’re gonna bring him back out later with the other dogs to see how he interacts when he’s out and about with them all.

He seems to like the crate. We put a bed in there for him but he’s choosing to sleep on the floor of the crate instead. Am gonna leave the bed in there and hopefully he’ll eventually know it’s okay to get comfy.

At a guess I’d say he’s around the 4 month mark. He’s very playful and laps up attention. Still has a lot of tiny teeth in there :)

He sits really well for his food, lead etc. We only started calling him Frodo last night but he’s already answering to it which is fab. I’m using the name as much as I can during the day .. I’m sure I’m freaking him out!!

Will post photos this evening. He went straight out to play in the back garden after our walk and now he’s comatose so I don’t wanna disturb him. He deserves a rest after all the change he’s gone through this weekend :)

Thanks so much to Muireann for bringing this little lad to us today :D

We spent ages today trying to pick out a name for him and Chip was nearly chosen but in the end we went for FRODO. He’s our little hobbit

He is beautiful. His hair is so soft. Considering the amount of time he spent in the car today he did so, so well. He’s settling in nicely with the 3 girlies here and he’s been very good with any kids he’s come in contact with so far.

I had him out for a short walk this evening on the lead and he was very well behaved. Somebody obviously put some work into him at some stage.

We’re heading off to the woods tomorrow and it’ll be his first walk with our trio so I’m sure he’s gonna have a ball. Will take some photos & post them up then.

We just have to hope he sleeps tonight :)

Just had to post about this little girl :) Had the pleasure of meeting her in Catherine’s house last night and she is adorable. Pictures do her no justice as she is soooo pretty :D She’s not as big as she looks in the pictures either. She’s shy to start but seems to have a really sweet nature & got on brilliant with all the other dogs too .. She’s gorgeous :D :D :D
