Love his ‘travel bag’, what make is it? I have looked at them before but didn’t find anything as good as the one you have. The plan was to get out on the bike and take Nellie with me and she could go into the bag if she got tired. He is growing like mad so will outgrow his bag soon but it’s a great idea for puppies and small dogs ![]()

Had the Nells bells at a training day, brother unable to Jet sit so she came too. Took them both into the hall after a walk and although Jet crouched a bit on the wooden floor, she soon found her feet. Another owner held onto Jet and Nellie as I went back to the car to get the crate into the hall. No panic in the ranks when I left them and the person holding them said they were perfectly happy
They were both in the crate alongside other crates containing other mutts and dogs lying on their beds close by. Thought Jet might get upset when I took Nellie out at various times for our stints but not a bit of it. She lay quietly taking everything in, she was so good, I was very proud of her. I keep waiting for her to turn into a horror but I very much doubt that will happen. She is charming
I left Dudley at home and must say he was very happy to see ALL of us on our return
. The three dogs are now living happily together ![]()
Jet has cracked the target stick. She knows if she touches it with her nose a treat lands straight after the click. She was so happy when she realised what she had to do to get that click and treat. Roast beef on that occasion
She is a bit of a dippy girl but gets very worried if she thinks she has done something wrong, she hasn’t but she seems to think she has done something. If I call her to me during one of these episodes she just cringes into the wall and looks away so I have to go to her, re-assure her that all is well and she relaxes but takes a few minutes to be her usual happy little self again. She will learn that nothing bad will happen but you do have to wonder what sort of life she had previously ![]()
Is Flo chillaxing? She is certainly smiling and it’s great to see her so happy with everything. Super little dog ![]()
I really did get a fright, would hate to lose the little monster
. Not heard anything from the neighbour thus far so am hoping we are off the hook
.
That image of the beautiful Hailey is superb. You must be delighted with it as should be the photographer. I try to take good photos and I continue to try to take one decent image

The Nells bells went missing on Thursday night
. I let the dogs out around 11.30 as I was making my father’ supper. After 5 minutes or so Jet and Dudley came back in but no Nellie. I called her name, no response, checked she wasn’t in the house, I checked the garden again – she wasn’t there. PANIC
Grabbed a lead and took off, ran round to the houses at the back of us – nothing. Had to run around a fair distance to houses to the side of us, this is now around 11.45. Thought I heard the chinking of her discs on her collar, I was almost at the back of someone’s house at this point but couldn’t see how to get in, so ran back home and again moved very slowly along the boundary fence and did hear chinking again. Was calling her name quietly and getting no response so grabbed her favourite squeaky toy from the house (a furry rabbit) and squeaked that at various bits of the fence. I could hear her panting because of her digging efforts, so I was waving the rabbit under the bit of the fence she had obviously gone under. She came forward to grab it and I managed to grab her and drag her back under the fence. This is the SECOND time I have been on my knees in amongst undergrowth trying to find Nellie – little monster! It was now 12.15 a.m. so she had been away for a good half hour but probably longer. So fence mending must be done before she is loose in the garden again. Well, not fence mending, there is nothing wrong with the fence, it’s the digging I have to get stopped
I went to the neighbour after work on Friday to explain what had happened. She said they were all in bed by the time Nellie was ‘visiting’ but she did think she had heard something squeaking
I offered to replace any plants damaged beyond any hope of re-growth so will wait to hear if I need to do that
Apart from that particular tiff, Nellie and I are friends again. She is like ‘super terrier’ and I am just grateful she didn’t find a cat
That would be my biggest fear, Nellie destroying a cat in its own home in front of its family – I kid you not – she would do it ![]()
I love, love, love reading the blogs about the beautiful Sheeba and her gorgeous foster brother
The GSD is one of the best dog breeds, they have everything and are so very loyal into the bargain, just fantastic ![]()
Still got the TOP prize for the maddest hair-do ever
You are on my ‘follow list’ ![]()
