Here’s some footage from the launch party night at the Workmans Club, Dublin. Conor, the lead singer of the band the Villagers wrote this song about his super dog. Here’s Casey the Wonder Dog. Oscar the Hypno Dog (and other Tails) in on sale and all proceeds go to Dogs in Distress.
    Some of the lyrics
“Never got nothing back, never mixed with the pack
Just a dog in distress, skin and bone just a mess
Now you smile when you growl
and you laugh when you howl
In our home by the sea where you take care of me”

Wow, lovely to know where Fraggle has gone and who he has become. A very happy looking chap named Basil in England. Thanks so much to his new family (Forever Home) for posting. It makes me feel just great to see a dog get an upgrade in life. Such a different looking little guy from the pound pictures.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No! it’s a 10 year old dog who was in the pound and then her foster family gave her a forever home. Doesn’t the picture say it all :D ?!

Come on Dash, did you take up professional modelling and you’re too embarrassed to say it straight out? And then that guest appearance at a school! You are gorgeous, you could do your own calendar with those poses, you DO certainly know how to vogue.

I’m glad you are filling the gap left by your buddy Duff with meeting your doggie pals. I bet you focus on the good times and know your family care about how you feel. Happy Christmas calendar dog!

Ahhh Wendy, there you are little star. I met your foster mum at the Oscar the Hypno Dog (and other tails) CD launch party in the Workmans Club last night. I was shown loads of lovely pics of you by Andrea who is very proud of you. I found out you are great for going for runs on the beach with all you canine house buddies. I couldn’t believe how cute you are and just how I wasn’t following your progress like an eagle already I just dunno!

Yes indeed ladles! I have to say it was an ultra cool event, don’t know how I got in

I don’t know many bands but the one voice that stood out as a blast from the past (well back when music was great i.e. my day :? ) was Neil Hannon from the Divine Comedy. Do you remember the song the National Express? Well the whole audience did!! And what’s more he had us all (yeah, even the ultra cool dudes) singing (well sort of saying out loudly) the phrase "Dogs in Distress" in place of the real lyrics which were "National Express". He said some nice things about Cathy Davey. He didn’t need to really, we knew already!

I didn’t tell you the best bit, hearing "Casey the Wonder Dog". I’ve heard from some properly cool people (well they go to festivals and own iPods) that the Villagers are a band with a name. From hearing the song I’m convinced, and the song even had the lyrics "a dog in distress" in it!

Thanks to all the bands, Champagne Animal are a bubbly addition to any night for the doggies. It was lovely meeting a few of the Dogs in Distress volunteers. Thanks to lovely people who bought raffle tickets without not even being too bothered about winning anything :).

I took pics but they are all terrible so if anyone has ones post them here will you?!

Me-ee-ee and mister Jones mister Jones mister Jones!
I met Jones on Grafton Street today and he is beautiful, with those amber-chestnut eyes. He was raising awareness for Dogs in Distress. I saw him being just lovely to children and adults alike. Claire has done loads of training. He knows to sit and wait, he gives the paw and he knows lie down. I think he’s super and see him being snapped up with a personality like his. Had to keep kissing his soft head and he didn’t mind. He was lovely to Daisy dog and he really is an all-rounder!

Oh my! I’ve been stalking (I mean following  ) Brittany’s progress and am not in the slightest bit surprised that her foster family couldn’t bear to part with her. In all the pics she is cheekier and more content than the one before and that’s the way a dog looks when they find their forever home. I kept my foster dog, Brandon too

Congratulations Lara, you have a little diamond there!
