The green eyes have NOTHING to do with her vax. . . . . just in case anyone feels like we have revisited Planet of the Apes!!!

She was extremely brave (especially considering the microchip syringe was almost as big as her head!!! ). So she is on her way to being a grown up little lady. Very proud of her! DSCN0608.JPGHi there baby girl and a happy birthday to you.
You are looking fab. Can’t believe you are all grown up. Hope you get a fantastic little sibling for you to play with ( I remember you playing here with Layla when you were just a tiny little scrap!!!). Delighted you keep in touch. Just a quick update on our little babe. Daisy has shown herself to be not just cute as a button but very intelligent and quick to learn. She knew her name and responded to it in 24 hours, she has learnt to sit and wait for her treats and titbits without any instruction and she has learned her place in the pack here – she knows who she needs to be wary of and who she can push to the limits (cue Mollie and Sam as usual!!!
). On the name front, we have started to sing the oul’ camáile song "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do" to her and now, the second she hears the first bar, she comes tearing over to the singer with her little stump of a tail wagging furiously!! I keep waiting for her to grow but, so far, there has been no sign of it so I reckon she will be a small enough dog – with the inevitable HUGE personality!!! We are enjoying her immensely! DSCN0606.JPGWell our little Daisy duck is coming on in leaps and bounds – the most apt description ever as she is one of life’s little bouncers!!
She literally bounces her way through life and gains some height for her tiny stature!!! Other dogs, feet, legs, ANYTHING available is used for leverage when she has her heart set on some lofty seat or lap or . . . . Daisy is a little doll who loves her playtime, her naptime and just recently found her voice which is her third love! She adores playing with a ball which is always a great way of keeping an unwalkable puppy entertained. Confidence growing by the day, she patiently awaits her very own happy ever after. She is teeny tiny and has a massive dose of lap fever!!! She is constantly on a lap or tucked under someone’s arm here and she LOVES it. That said, although she must feel like she has been teleported into the Land of the Giants here, she has started to move around the floor much more confidently and yesterday, she even started to play with the toys that are strewn around. Someone docked her tail but she wags her little stump FURIOUSLY when any of us come in or call her over. She is eating well, sleeping well and is intensely curious about everything that is happening.
I don’t reckon she will be very big when she is fully grown – she has a dainty little head with huge ears!!
Daisy will be wormed, microchipped and receive her first vax before she is homed. She is a real little darling! Ah Bruno, you look fantastic. Great to see you and Charlie becoming such good pals.
We will be following you with bated breath here so keep in touch!! Hi Indiana. Hearing from me, Keeley’s foster auntie, is nowhere near as good as hearing from herself – or, indeed, her computerless foster Daddy but here goes! Had a visit with Keeley the other day and she is coming along brilliantly.
She is still very thin but it’s not for the lack of food, so I reckon she always will be. When we visit now, she comes to greet us as opposed to curling up in her bed with her tail between her legs. She is bright eyed and really sweet although she remains a little timid. She ADORES Brian and loves nothing more than curling up on his lap – her beautiful long legs dangling!!! – she has no idea that she really doesn’t fit. She has a few ongoing problems with her teeth due to her bad start but otherwise she is coming along great. She loves her walks, her toys, chasing a ball and, most of all, sharing her foster dad’s bed at night despite the "I will NEVER let that happen!" claim!!! A total pet. Oh my little poppet. You continue to be the special little girl we all adored here. So glad that your terrifying ordeal is behind you and a HUGE commendation to Sue and family for helping you every step of the way. Onwards and upwards now, kiddo!!!!

This all happened very quickly and David, Mary and the children are absolutely devastated. They only had Kate for a while – just under 2 years – but she was a much loved and very important part of their family. She had a great 2 years with them and our thoughts are with them all at this sad time. I am SO sorry to read this sad news but to echo everyone’s thoughts, you were truly amazing to him all the time he was with you – and it was a LONG time!. Schumacher passed away, not as a "rescue dog" but as a much loved member of your family. He was a very lucky man. Well done for all the care you gave him.

I am so thrilled to hear from you and from your fantastic new family. You have grown up to be a beautiful young man and still have the lovely wise eyes that I remember so well.
Thank you so much, Marie and family, for letting us have an update on Max. It means the world to us fosterers to follow our little charges through life!!!
