That is FANTASTIC news! So thrilled for the (I was going to say little but I reckon BIG covers it better!!!! ) man!! A long and contented "happy ever after" to you, Bobby. Don’t forget to keep in touch.
January 30, 2012 at 1:20 pm #108167IndiannaMemberFirst Nick and now Bob, what a great start to 2012 for Nick, Bob and all at DID. Its been nice seeing you both each day on the Foster dogs’ page but how wonderful to have to go to Happy Endings to see how you are getting along . You are quite right Bob, keeping your love for your special people only – I am sure you will lavish all your attention on your family soon and for ever more. Great, great news. Bet your foster family will miss you but they will be keeping an eye on you

bob1.jpgApril 10, 2012 at 8:03 am #109349carlylongMemberWell! the day arrived, the day Bobs went to his new home & what a fabulous new home it is.
Veronica & Malcolm came to collect him on Sunday, he went off with a wag of his tail and a glint in his eye
Bobby is such a special little man, I know he is going to be SO happy in his new home
New Family.jpgApril 10, 2012 at 4:02 pm #109362laineyMemberCongratulations to Bob, Malcolm & Veronica. The long wait is finally over!

April 16, 2012 at 6:01 pm #109289HebeMemberWell, we have had Harry [formerly Bobby] a week now and he is delightful.
His first few days were difficult for him – he was so disorientated and unsure, but doing his best and very very endearing. The first evening I think he was a little panicky- when we left him alone in the kitchen to sleep, he was distressed so we moved his bed to the corridor just outside our bedroom and he calmed down.
Second night not a peep out of him – so that will remain the arrangement. And so it has proved to be with everything new- unsure and nervous but then getting the measure of it and growing in confidence. Its been a big help that the farmer whose land adjoins our garden is happy for us to exercise him in his fields, which means we have the exquisite pleasure of watching this lithe, healthy animal, bound along open meadows and explore ditches and hedgerows – today he flushed out a pheasant and was very pleased with himself.
We are more grateful than we can say to Carolan and Paul [his fosterers] who took in a timid, traumatised young dog and a few months later handed over to us, [not without some sorrow] a beautiful, well adjusted, happy, animal. We also want to thank Kathy, Lorrainne, Claire F. and the inspiring people of DID. Pictures will follow – when we get the hang of this, to us, new fangled stuff.
April 16, 2012 at 9:24 pm #109426IndiannaMemberTaking little, safe steps into what is your future with your very own family who will care for you for the rest of your life. I wish you knew that you are safe and with good people – you will. Enjoy all the countryside you have to run around in. What a lovely dog you are, with such a gentle soul
April 18, 2012 at 11:47 am #109445carlylongMemberWell my little bobalicious (Harry- Love it!) you really have landed on your paws I cant even begin to explain how happy I am for you! We miss you lots and lots, Nullah even went off her food for a couple of days after you left but we know you are in the BEST home
I cannot thank Veronica and Malcolm enough for having the time and patience to become Harry’s new family.
April 26, 2012 at 11:10 am #109525carlylongMemberI have received some fabulous photos and lovely updates from Veronica and Malcolm….
"Things are going really well with Harry. Just as you said, once we established a routine and he understood what was expected of him he relaxed, and he is a darling dog – which is just as well because he helps us, novices that we are, to learn what works.
We are taking things slowly and actually rather enjoying ourselves – we’re going for long walks and really getting out into the spring countryside, which is really rather nice."

April 26, 2012 at 7:14 pm #109529laineyMemberOh Veronica……what a wonderful photo! Harry looks thrilled to have settled in so well to your wonderful home and I’m sure he is exploring every inch of the countryside around him with relish. Such a wonderful happy ending for him.
Wishing you many years of happiness.
