Overview:

This is Arlo, a beautiful Wire-Haired Dachshund who is looking for a very special home. Arlo was previously rehomed, but sadly the match didn’t work out as the resident dog was not comfortable sharing their space. Because of this, we now have a clearer understanding of what Arlo needs to truly thrive. Arlo has severe separation anxiety, so he will need a home where someone is around most β€” ideally all β€” of the time. He’s currently unsure of the world and needs a calm, patient family who can give him the love, time, and reassurance he needs to build his confidence at his own pace. Arlo is looking for a child-free home and would prefer to be the only dog. However, he may be able to live with a confident but gentle female dog. In the right home, Arlo will form a deep bond and be an incredibly loving and devoted companion.
