Chase was out on this walk this morning with plenty of company, he is great with other dogs, big and small. Good on the lead, loved to sniff about. He would scrub up to be a super handsome man with a bath and groom
YvonneMMemberSaw both Sugar and Spice out for their walk this morning, they are really big but stunning. Sugar looks like she had pups fairly recently. Hopefully they are reclaimed
YvonneMMemberHad a bad cough this morning, he would scrub up gorgeous with a bath and grooming
YvonneMMemberWalked both Rudy and Reese together this morning, they are great little pals. Rudy is really good on the lead, very responsive to direction and praise. Great with other dogs, biddable, loves being picked up and petted. He would be a constant companion and very loving. I think he is actually stunning, brindle markings are very unusual so is his wirey coat. He is a shaggy little fella with loads of character. He is smart out and I reckon would buy and sell you. I think he’s fab. If I didn’t have my two labs both Rudy and Reese would have been coming home with me today to a warm basket and a forever home. Please someone throw him a lifeline
YvonneMMemberStunning boy, only young, very good on the lead, friendly, a little shy and overwhelmed by the pound and barking dogs. He sat quitely in his cage amongst the chorus of barking. Beautiful coat and markings, really attractive collie
YvonneMMemberThe most handsome of the boy labs in the pound at the moment. Had him out for a walk this morning. He is only young, I would think 12 months tops. He is gorgeous, not too bad on the lead. Very exciteable, jumps a lot, is lacking in basic manners and training but makes up for it by being so affectionate and placid. Very good with other dogs, whimpers to play with them. He would definitely benefit from some guidance and training classes, not suitable for young kids, he jumps a lot and is a big enough boy. He is gorgeous though, he would make a fabulous dog for someone experienced and willing to put some time into him. I know he’s a stray, hopefully he gets reclaimed or finds a great new home
YvonneMMemberWalked him this morning, an excitable lad, only young, not bad on the lead, friendly, loved a pet and belly rub. Very reluctant to go back into his kennel
YvonneMMemberCan only reitterate what others have said, he is super dog, stunning looking
YvonneMMemberShe is gorgeous, tiny tiny tiny, you could carry her about no bother. Very friendly, very kind and great with other dogs. I saw a lady walking both her and Silver together, no bother at all.
Please someone take herYvonneMMemberI think he is a beaut. Did a bit of googling on his breed he definitely looks like a Cardigan Welsh Corgi cross. Bit of research on the breed, firstly they are very intelligent and biddable, really loyal, active and with virtually no hereditary conditions unlike almost all other breeds. They are super hardy, a big dog in a small dogs body. I would give my right arm for him but there is unfortunately no room at the inn!
YvonneMMemberWe just had Stevie (he’s with us six weeks now rehomed from Ashtown) to the vet for his second vaccine and during our chat with the vet he said there had been quite a few recent cases of rat poisioning in dogs. A few months ago there was a rat spotted in our neighbours garden. We had environmental health out, their only solution was rat poison, they have you sign a disclaimer should your pet ingest it to cover themselves legally. Although they lay it out of reach we just wouldn’t chance it, nor would our neighbour. Luckily enough after weeks of baiting traps under the shed we caught it. The guy told us there has been a rapid surge in rat populations of late, perhaps the council are laying poison in parks to combat it. Be on the look out. Our vet said they have a antidote but dogs must be treated asap
YvonneMMemberwow, I walked him six weeks ago in the pound. he looks like a different dog. you have taken years off him. he was fab then, very gentle on the lead, unassuming, no work, just a super doggie
