Okay, it was worth a try
YvonneMMemberIf someone is up in the pound can they try the name Judge with this boy, he has the markings and breed of a dog I last saw as a pup a little over a year ago
It might be worth a shot, I’d have contact details of his family
YvonneMMemberOh wow she is gonna be a beauty with a bath and groom though.
Looks like the January fall out has happened, pound must be fullYvonneMMemberFantastic news, he is a big baby and thoroughly deserves a forever home. So happy for him, he was a little dote when I walked him. I love labs so cute
YvonneMMemberSuch good news today about the long timers in the pound. Delighted I adored him, such a little character. Fell head over heels for him
YvonneMMemberI really hope you get to foster these guys. They are fab, only babies and really deserve a chance at life. January is going to be very cold, they are so slight in their build that I’d worry about them seriously
YvonneMMemberAm watching Chance closely on the site. I fell in love with him. He is a beaut and a total baby. His leg caught up in my lead, I tried unravelling him, he thought it was perfect belly rub/play opportunity. He is a pet who craves affection and a little tlc. He just needs a some manners put on him, totally understandable, although he looks fully grown size wise I would think he is barely 12 months old, very puppyish. He is super handsome too.
YvonneMMemberDelighted for her, so happy, thank you whomever is taking care of her
YvonneMMemberWell I have a stunning purbred big black fella sitting my back garden whom we adopted from Ashtown pound a couple of months ago, there are also three fine fellas sitting up there at the minute
I think breeders are always going to defend the breed which is probably understandable but there is always euro’s involved for them. I’ve noticed on irishdogs website that a lot of pedigree pups are now having their price tags slashed in order to have them homed.
Labs certainly can have hereditary problems, it is all about responsible breeding. We have two, Sally is a fine specimen of the breed, Steve the big black fella has a slight case of hip dysplacia, something we will have to keep an eye on and will most definitely need attention as he gets older. So be it.
YvonneMMemberNo way, super, am delighted, lets hope Pippa gets sorted now, i think Staffie’s get such a raw deal
YvonneMMemberI brought denta stix up for all the doggies yesterday, she was very gentle taking it from my hand. Really friendly, a little shy. She is tiny, smallest adult staffie I’ve ever seen.
YvonneMMemberI am watching this pair very closely. Was up at the pound yesterday walking the dogs. I am a usually a big dog fan, have a major soft spot for labs. However even though I walked all three of the lab boys, and seriously gorgeous Chuck it was Ruby and Reese that got my vote. They are fabulous, a joy to walk and be around. I was astounded how good they were being handled by everyone. They have loads of spunk and character, little cheeky pair. If I didn’t have my two they were coming home with me no question
YvonneMMemberAm delighted, he is a really gorgeous dog, his photos don’t do him justice, in the flesh he is an absolute beaut
YvonneMMemberHad Checker out this morning for his walk. He is excitable at first but he is so light (honestly he is all ribs) that he doesn’t pull at all. He loves to sniff, loves other dogs, whimpers to go over for a play. He responds really well to praise and direction and loves to be petted. He is only young, not even 12 months, really gorgeous face, amber eyes and white chest.
He deserves to find his forever home, he has been in a long timeYvonneMMemberJosie was out and about this morning, pottering around, she is a real people person but equally great with her doggie peers. She is a real cutie, not that big at all, below knee height. Really pretty face and beautiful shiney coat. I am the biggest advocate of homing an older dog. We rehomed a 5 year hold lab male and he worked out to be the most amazing dog ever. With an older dog you see what you get, they are calmer, have gotten over the digging, chewing phase. Have way more manners, are more laid back and chilled, appreciative of the chance you gave them.
She really deserves a forever home, I think she would give big tenfold the affection and love any owner could give her -
