I totally agree with you Brenda – rescue dogs are the most loyal and loving of dogs and I certainly wouldn’t consider any other. Yes, hopefully we will all meet up soon. Take care.

Ah Brenda, she is such a cutie and I’m so glad that she has recovered fully now. Lola and Harry are also adorable! You have a lovely family there and should be rightly proud of them all.

I’ve just got the following update from Alfie’s forever family:

"Alfie loves to go out for his walks in the snow and playing with the kids in it but he won’t stay out too long cos he loves his home comforts :D – he’s a great little fella, I would be lost without him."

Here are a few photos of the lovely Alfie:

He looks sooo happy and content in his lovely forever home. Happy Christmas Alfie. x

Taffy’s doing great Marie, thanks to you and also Joan for giving him such a great start in life. He gives the greatest licks anyone could ask for – great exfoliation (am saving a fortune on facials) – he can get into every nook and cranny in my face :D

He’s the greatest hot water bottle, especially in this weather – he loves to sleep but is also always ready to play and go for walks. I don’t think he’s too sure of his new coat though – he’s hilarious when he does this funny little dance thing where he’s twisting his bottom trying to shake it off

Taffy really loves his comforts – particularly the fire – he seems fascinated by it and hogs it, as you can see below:

Very best wishes for Christmas and the new year from Taffy and me to all in D.I.D. – admin, pound helpers/walkers, fosterers, drivers and everyone else involved in helping all those poor defenceless dogs throughout the year.

And thank you for giving me the opportunity to foster and then adopt Taffy – I couldn’t imagine life without him now.

She is the absolute image of Taffy (was Scruffy)! I wonder could they be siblings? They are about the same age.

Look at all that white stuff out there – I wonder what it’s like? Can we go out and play?

Hmmm, I’m not too sure about this – it’s very cold!

That’s much better, I’m nice and warm now in my new coat! It’s a bit big, but maybe I’ll grow into it.

I had the absolute pleasure of having little Jessie stay with Taffy and me over the weekend. She is an absolute dote and has gone away with a little piece of my heart. Her foster parents have done such a wonderful job with her and I can see how very much she was cared for and loved by them. I’m sure they will miss her very much. To her new forever family, you are getting a real gem. And to little Jessie, you touched a lot of people here in DID so please keep in touch with us all and most important of all, have a very happy ever after. xx
