Freddie and the guys.JPGtaraMemberI would just like to give you an update on Timara.
We decided to call her Jessie, which she is responding to. She has settled in very well and at this stage now has met all the family and pets. We have kept her on royal canin, which she love’s. Her training is coming along very well, only three accident’s in her first week, a great little girl.
We registered her in the Vets and wormed her. The vet gave her a check up and thought she was a great little dog.
Her first day out was down the park. She did not get much of a walk with all the attention from the other dog walker’s. She love’s the beach but best of all she really love’s running through the marshland’s
Jessie has really become part of the family. I would like to thank you and the team for all your hard work in helping us adopt Jessie.

Had a great laugh reading this, 2 Dogs In Distress doggies getting to know eachother!! Woody was adopted last year.Day one of Leo in his new home is coming to a close. As I type this he is asleep in Woody’s bed That is not a problem as Woody has never slept in his bed except by sheer accident. Leo has a lovely new bed and he thinks that it a great place to hide the ball..
Today we went with the flow. I collected Leo from Sandra just before lunch. Thanks to Sandra and the DID team for taking care of Leo. We drove home with Woody riding shotgun ie strapped in but with his head between the two front seats to show who was boss. They were both very good in the car and when I got home I realised that both dogs needed a nap so we arranged ourselves on the couch starting with me in the middle but that was not to Leo’s liking so he had to move to Woodys side. They were stuck together until Leo started to snore and Woody bailed to a nearby armchair. They spent a good while in the garden playing chasing and doing other things not mentioned in polite conversation but that calmed down after a few minutes.
Leo likes his grub and is a much better eater than Woody. He made short shift of his dinner and then went over to Woody’s bowl and ate a bit of his dinner. I will have to watch that as I dont want Leo to overeat on a regular basis.
When my daughter came home the two boyos went a little mental before having another little nap while I went to the gym for an hour so they were full of beans on my return and Leo in the meantime had remembered how to climb on the couch and climb the stairs. He cannot get down the stairs without human assistance ( I picked him up and brought him down 3 times while he practiced climbing up the stairs..
We had more games in the garden by lamplight and finally at 11 pm in desperation I threw a lead on the pair of them and walked them round the block. That was their first walk together because they were too busy having fun and naps all afternoon. That seemed to do the trick and they both realised that they were tired. I include some pictures of the hero including Leo the beggar. No Woody is not a saint. He is on the far side of the chair begging. I also include Leo in front of the fireplace and the boys on the couch.
I am going to bed wrecked and I cannot wait for tomorrow.

Happy ending for Leo 3.JPGtaraMemberHi Scarlett,
We are not sure what he is mixed with. All we know is he is a terrier mix, you can never really tell until they are around 6 months or more when their true characteristics shine through!
He is quite small, so will be small to medium when fully grown.
We are just getting to know this little man, so watch this space for an updatetaraMemberTess loves Hope to bits follows her everywhere even sleeps with her, she tries to nip at her legs as she walks by for attention and a chase which Hope is always willing to do lol. Tess is a nosy little girl and has to say hello to everyone who comes to the house.
She’s about 9 weeks old now, feeling under the weather as she has caught the cold of Hope, so she’s not in the humor for playing at the minute, when she’s feeling more like herself i’ll take more photos of her.

taraMemberAs usual Martina from An Madra Nua has worked her magic on this boy. She had nothing but fantastic things to say about his amazing nature and you can see he looks happier with all those matts removed.
Martina had to shave his tail right down because she said it would have been inhumane to put him through the trauma of getting all the matts out.
But i think he really is rocking the bare tailed lookThanks so much Martina xxx
IMG_1038.jpgtaraMemberThis poor boy is in awful condition so he is going to get groomed by the amazing Martina who owns An Madra Nua in Tallaght to get a pampering.
Martina worked her magic on our last samoyed Bear amoungst others, and has kindly offered to do the same for this boy.http://www.yourlocal.ie/d/dog-grooming- … 01_4515795
Thanks a mill for this and everyone watch this space for the before and after photos from Simon

Here’s a couple I’ve taken very recently, with her new brother Flynn & her new sister Evey, enjoying the sun in the back garden. The easiest way to know who’s who is that Evey’s in the middle in the photos. She’s getting on great & is doing well with her lead training. Evey and herself play a lot & any of the dogs that come to stay have great fun with her too. She’s a funny little monkey who likes to bury her toys down the back of the couch. I’m never quite sure what I’ll end up sitting on, any given day….My Mum really loves her & she sleeps in with her at night. We’ve given her a nickname, The singing Diva….. As when she wants a toy that someone else has, she sings at them til she can have it. Funny little lady.
