Wendy is doing very well here, very well behaved, settling in. She is very territorial and though she has not even barked yet she does try and keep the other dogs away from me and also her bed. Still early days yet I guess. Never happier than when she is on my knee ! Food being sorted , she will eat dry food but loves chicken and will only take the dry food when she knows nothing else is coming. She begs for everything including the early morning porridge ! She is treat trainable but looks like she has had no training at all. She is slightly nervous in traffic but due to the wet weather she has only been out a few times. She walks well on the lead, loves her walks too. There is not a problem with her meeting other dogs but as I say no bark yet. She has no time for toys and sleeps a lot but she was very tired when she arrived anyway. Loves you talking to her, also loves the tv if she is on my lap she will watch with interest .She does need a lot of reassurance and if I leave the room I get a huge wag of the tail on returning. She has been face to face with our cat but shows little interest. W e bought a scarecrow today as we have pigeons once more and she seems very interested in him, goes flying out into the garden and tries to climb up the pole ! She doesnt seem to recognise a thing in the home , she had a good look around over days so I wonder has she been kept outside. She is just so quiet though, you wouldn’t know she is here half the time, she is as quiet as a little mouse . She is a great little dog , needs a lot of tlc though and likes to know you are there for her all the time. I wouldnt think it would be a good idea to leave her alone, well certainly not until she is well settled. Trust needs to be built up.
002.JPGsusiedubMemberWendy is doing very well and beginning to find her own way around here. Today she went on her first walk due to two days of rainy weather. She is very good on the lead and excitedly walked around the park enjoying every moment of the sunshine and the dogs and people we passed. Thanks to Niamh Wendy is looking very well after her grooming on Saturday morning . Wendy is a quite a small dog with a very tiny face that keeps watch over me in case I go anywhere without her. We have no bark as yet and she is as timid as a little mouse , sleeps well at night , food ? a slight problem, as I think she may have been fed all sorts and seems to just want our food but we are trying to correct this slowly. She seems to be very curious about almost everything which makes me wonder was she in a house or outside. Early days yet, will update when we have learned more about her. She is very loveable and very affectionate.

019.JPGsusiedubMemberTell Wendy she can pack her little case ! Look forward to seeing her soon x
susiedubMemberLexi keeping warm !
021.JPGsusiedubMemberWe often see the bed walking along by itself ! Lexi tends to get stuck underneath and brings the bed with her as she comes in to see us. She has a need to keep warm, at night time she has two fleecy blankets, one under her and one she hides in so we cant see her. She is doing very well here , still very much a lap dog but she loves the warmth too that she gets on our laps or even from our two dogs .
014.JPGsusiedubMemberIf you look at the first photo she still has that half smile on her face ! Cute as ever !
susiedubMemberIts ok to have three dogs but the walking is the difficult part. I have always walked three but its not that easy ! There is always one that wants to go their own way ! Also around here we have a lot of glass so this has to be a concern every walk and if you have three its out onto the road sometimes so it can be a bit dodgy . I have a friend who walks five , she rescues too , but mainly much older dogs . You can get a couple which links two dogs together though, just a chain with two links for the collars or harness and they are very strong . I hope Lexi gets a home soon , I am amazed too she is still on the site .
susiedubMemberLexi is fine here . She has settled into a routine very well. She has bursts of energy followed by lots of sleep . She loves her walks and we have to let her go ahead of our two otherwise she wears herself out trying to keep up. She is eating very well too .She leaps on to our laps the moment we sit and this is her favourite position. No bark out of her , just a yap ! This morning she saw a pidgeon up on the UPC wire above and was very curious, had a few yaps and then came back in. We were in the local the park and so it was with the ducks, fascinated she was. She gets chilly quite a lot so we have blankets on standby for this, she has no love of the cold at all .When she sleeps too she climbs under her blanket for warmth . .As for accidents, just one so far but she escaped up the stairs, very fast on her feet though .She is not keen on the cat or so we thought initially , I think she just wants to play , I have lifted Lexi up a few times to look at Minnie and once they did meet on the floor but nothing much happened, they just pawed one another but not aggressively .Lexi does need some training but I find she is fairly good and will listen to commands . Treat trainable too, so here we go ! Will keep updating on this little girl .
008.JPGsusiedubMemberGreat news Missy has now found her forever home . I am sure she will be happy, she is a great little dog. Max has been trawling around here with his nose to the floor looking for her and even though he now knows she has gone it doesn’t stop him looking ! She really bonded with Mr Max ! Missy slept on him, stole his chewy sticks, cleaned his ears for him, took his treats and sometimes kept on at him to play when he was tired but he didn’t mind , he just went with the flow ! Another beautiful little dog re homed. Best of Luck Missy in you new home.

002.JPGsusiedubMemberMissy is doing very well. She is more solid now and has put on weight but not much, I can feel she is heavier on my arm now . She is sleeping for longer periods too during the day. We have had her out many times walking with the two other dogs but she has to be lifted a few times to give her a rest, but I have noticed on the last few walks she prefers to stay down, wriggles like mad to try and keep up with the two boys.Still she loves meeting people but trying to get her going again is something else, she still stands and watches them walk away ! Even if she sees someone in the distance she gets excited and tries to run to them. She is still as lively as ever and plays a lot in the garden but will run with the ball in her mouth , never dropping it ! She just follows Boo when he fetches a ball and at some speed too! John just said he has widened her collar twice so she obviously has grown. She is very treat trainable and we are working on this. She now can climb , we found her sitting beside the cat this week and also up on the table ! She seems to have this sense of when she does the wrong thing and even half smiles at us but try catching her , not a hope ! She is learning though .We can see the changes in her already . I wash the floor down on my knees, she sits on the back of my knees, she likes to be in on everything ! She has been pretty good though, found her bark at last too but its not that loud more of a yap , she cries when John leaves the room but when he comes back from work she goes nuts, she’s clever, she can open his backpack where he keeps his lunch, she push’s the zip up with her nose to see what is left. She loves you talking to her when she is not flying around too and has a very expressive little face.I am still on the hunt for two slippers that match but she is still a pup. She loves the rawhide sticks but they save my feet and shoes and anything else she can find, and she has run off with many things ! She just legs it , gone ! She needs to walk daily with her energy level but she loves her walks and goes mad the moment we bring her out, loves being outside .It great the weather has been so good but I do wait until it warms up a bit as she does tend to feel the cold, but not as much as she did when she first arrived.
susiedubMemberBeautiful little dog ,If I could, I would adopt this one definately ! My daughter loves Elmo too.
susiedubMemberMissy is doing very well here . She has not grown very much but I doubt she will. She is very lively and doing all the things pups do.I dont think we have a matching pair of slippers as she runs off with everything and anything ! She ran off with a whole pack of serviettes yesterday and she has done the andrex toilet roll run a few times too! I am getting fitter though as she runs like a mini greyhound. She seems to prefer John to me but he does not try and train her !She is sleeping loads with mad bursts of energy in between. She is still going right through the night too and this is good .Toilet training same as ever ,she goes on the paper.I am trying to keep her outside more as she was running in and using the paper but the rain has not helped . She loves meeting people and will still stand and watch them walk away . We have been walking her when the weather has been good but she is still not so good on the lead she darts around a lot but very young yet , we will keep trying with this anyway. She loves her toys, we bought some from the charity shop with no beans in and she spends a lot of time with them’ Her favourite one is a monkey that we didnt realise is a padded glove puppet so we too can play with her with this. She seems to be good with other dogs, we met a year old King Charles when we were out and all they did was play . As for ours, she may be a bit too lively at the moment so I have her with me while they sleep . She hasnt got the hang of ball chasing yet as she runs around the garden with the ball in her mouth and will not give it up,she is really fast on her feet to so hard to catch ! Keep you updated Missy’s progress .
susiedubMemberMissy loves helping to unpack my shopping !
