Penny is doing great and enjoying family life. One of her favourite times (& mine!) is this time of the evening when the house is quiet and the two of us ‘retire’ to the couch in the sitting room, she is straight onto the lap, lies on her back, four paws in the airand you give her a good rub and scatch.
What better than having one dog?????? Having Two Dogs

MemberThanks Suzi for calling around yesterday. We really enjoyed your visit. Penny and I went for a good walk in the park after dinner and she soon forget her vacs and chip being done! We are mad about her. She is a lovely doggie, gets on great with our dog Lady and they love each others company, 2 beds are now 1 big bed as they always sleep together. She was basking in the sunshine we had today & chewing the life out of her latest bone.

MemberPenny is in top form and making a great companion in our household. Reponds very well to her name (probably because my daughter says @ 100 times a day
) & is reponding to the ‘sit’ command, well most of the time. Has been for several walks in couple of busy parks. Has behaved v.well, doesn’t pass too much remarks on other dogs and doesn’t mind people coming up to her and some kids have come up to pet her. Two more photos of her to appear soon. Likes to chew!

MemberBrought this girl out for a walk this am, thought she was going to pull me around the field when the girl in the pound brought her out to me. But she actually walked well, sticking so close to you she nearly walks in front of you. She is strong and would enjoy plently of rough & tumble play. However, she did sit quietly under the tree (waiting for shower to pass) and just loved a good rub. So friendly, trys to wrap her paws around you.

MemberThanks Indianna, I know JRTs are the best, and of course JRT/Collie X are great too as that would best decribe our ‘ole girl’ Lady
. Penny continues to do well, gave her another bath today as she was getting sticky from her exputex & honey doses, it is doing the trick though, her cough is all but gone. She is looking v.white & adorable at the moment. Can’t believe the amount of JRTs that appear in ‘urgent action dogs’
I think they are the ideal dog for city living and city size gardens!!

MemberPenny came for a spin in the car with me today. She travelled very well and never budged from the passenger’s seat.
Then went for a good stroll together. Lying flat out here beside me. Getting on great with the kids and our dog Lady. Leaves her bed to lie beside Lady from time to time. Getting through plenty of chewy bones, spends plenty of time in the garden especially when she can coax Lady to go with her.
Photos will appear v.soon!

MemberBusy house this weekend, lots of people coming and going. Penny reacted great, was very well behaved and friendly with everyone. Slight improvment with the kennel cough, hopefully will be fully recovered soon. Almost must out of heat as well (i think!) so husband brought her for a good walk today and again no bother with her. He’s working on getting her to sit on command….they’ll get there.

MemberThis is our first time to foster a dog & can’t believe what a dote we’ve got to mind. We have her a week now, she was very nervous when she arrived, particulary wary of my husband, cowering away from him & sticking v.close to me. That has all changed now!!! She has a lovely personality. Friendly & adores affection. She is polite and a little timid. She doesn’t get over excited (although gives you a great welcome
) and just puts her two paws up on you when you give her the nod. We have three children 8,5 and 2 and she has been fine with them. Once she got used to their sudden movements and their voices she was grand, goes to them for a rub now rather than hiding behind the sofa. She gets on well with Lady our ten yr old dog and vice versa. She is still in heat so have just brought her on a couple of short walks. She was easy to manage. We are trying to do some training with her..comands but are really too busy spoiling her for the moment. She is eating well and the scrawny look is gone. I gave her a bath, which she had no strong objection to, she has a silky coat, really short haired. Has a touch of kennel cough for past 2 days so giving her exputex & honey. Will post again with photos I’ve taken. She’s a lovely size, perfect for cuddling up on your lap. She has sleep quietly in the kitchen every night, it’s been lovely to see her unwind & relax as the days have gone by.
