This little man is really settling in with us now and following me everywhere, or else Judy when I’m not around. He is very playful and very gentle; loves to chew a rubber bone he has all day long. He loves water and has tried swimming a couple of times; he turns back quite quickly, but twice he swam all the way out to the toy and brought it back!! I’m very proud of him and am sure he’ll be a great swimmer soon. He brings back toys reliably now and drops them at your feet.

Darcy is getting very reliable with his sit and always comes back when called, even though it may take a few seconds longer if there is something interesting going on; he loves investigating other dogs or cyclists etc. He sts on command and is housetrained and loves to play with other dogs.

You can see what a baby he is, he always stays by my side and wants nothing more than to be loved and cuddled!

This baby is staying with me, I think he is only around 5 months old..

He is a very friendly little guy, very happy and wants to please everyone. He gets on great with the other dogs and loves to play and cuddle.

He is good with his recall already and is learning to sit on command; no accidents in the house over night so fingers crossed.. he loves his food so the training is easy.

He has a lot of energy and was a bit anxious at first, but is settling in now and just doing what the other dogs do. When out in the park he wants to say hi to everyone and everyone loves him!

Little Teddy went to his new home yesterday and I already got an update to say he is doing great and settling in very well. He really hit the jackpot my little darling; he moved in with a lovely family with two cats and a horse and lots and lots of space. The perfect home and I’m so happy and very confident that this is the best place he could have ever found. Thanks to Suzi doing all the background-work, Teddy and his new family found each other within a week of him coming into our care! Thanks Suzi! And thanks to Bernd, Kerstin and Patrick for taking time of from work and driving 8 hours to collect their new addition to the family and bring him home with them. And of course for giving him the great life he deserves!

Teddy is now reserved and will meet his new family on Thursday. Fingers crossed it will all work out. I also checked his vax cert and it turns out he is only 4 months old!! He will be a massive dog! :-)

    From Ruby:

    Hey,

I collected Penny on Friday from a house in Castleknock. She escaped from the pound and there was a note up in my job in reference to her. I said I would foster her until she finds a new home.

She’s been check by the vet who said she’s a 6 month old collie, and she’s received her first round of injections. I have some nice pictures of her that I would like to get up on the website, we’ve renamed her as Tilly.

She is a beautiful dog and so timid and loving. Very clever girl and house trained. I would love to find her a nice home. She was very weary of men initially but over the weekend she’s formed a great bond with my husband and was curl up on his lap last night.

She is really starting to come out of herself and was very playful on the beach and is also great with other dogs. We would love to keep her but we already have 2 dogs and the house is small.

Could an admin contact me regarding Penny / Tilly about updating the details you have of her and changing her status: also I’d like to get some nice pictures of her up.

    Thanks so much.
    Ruby

Would anybody be able to take this fluffy baby for 2 nights over the weekend? I would drop him over tomorrow morning and pick him up Monday afternoon. It’s just that I’m going away for the weekend and originally I was not supposed to get him till Monday..

He is a very easy puppy, just wants to stay beside you.

If anyone can help, please reply or text me on 086 868 2617.

Little Oscar is doing great and I am completely in love! He is the biggest baby and the most loving pup! He was neutered 2 weeks ago and unfortunately there were some complications so he has been back and forth to the vets, but is all better now. He still has to wear the buster collar but is doing very well with it! He is getting used to it and is not complaining :-)

Oscar walks up to people now to get a pat on the head; it’s amazing to see the difference in him! He still won’t go outside without the other dogs; he gets very scared but we are definitely getting there! On Sunday he was out with me and Judy and I was able to let him off the lead for the first time! He had a great time, was racing around and falling over like a real puppy! He is starting to pick up toys, but drops them again and is not sure how to play.. He also loves his pigs ears and gobbles them up more quickly than the rottie ‘pup’, who he plays with all the time!

He is fully house trained now and I’m very proud of him for all the progress!

I know I haven’t put the pics up yet, but just to let you all know that Foxy is doing great in her new home! She is adored by everyone and they are amazed how quickly she learns.

She has now gone to Kerry on her first holiday :-)

Unfortunately Jasper’s new home did not work out as he kept on escaping over a very high wall. It seems he gets very stressed without other dogs; I had him back for a night and he made no attempt to get away, just stayed with Judy.

He is now in foster care in Swords with two other dogs who he gets on great with so he will need a forever home with other dogs to enable him to settle and feel safe.

Jasper is a very loving and affectionate dog who loves giving kisses and cuddling with people on the couch. He is perfectly fine as long as he has other dogs around him and is ball-mad. He will fetch forever if you let him! ( I still think he learned that from Judy! :-) )

He has put on weight in the last few weeks and his coat is lovely and soft and shiny; he always was a gorgeous dog and looks even more stunning now!

His previous family are very sad to let him go because he really is the perfect pet.

If you would like to meet Jasper, please send in an adoption form. He is vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and housetrained.

As predicted, Foxy was snapped up in no time! She will be going to her new home on Saturday and it will be very hard to let her go! She is the bestest pup I have ever had and also one of the cutest! She has grown in the last week and her eyes are getting a lovely light green colour.

She is getting used to her routine; everytime I bring her out she does a pee straight away and she knows when it’s time for food; she will just sit and look at me preparing it and wait for it.

She plays with Oscar all day and then loves to sleep beside me on the couch in the evening. She is such a lovely pup; she loves people and children and other dogs and is so friendly and loving to all! She is very clever as well and picks up on things quickly. I’ll really miss her!! I have some better pics of her which I will put up over the wkend.

Oscar is doing better every day! I have some pictures to put, will get around to it over the wkend I hope.

He is really getting into this nose-nudging thing and does it all the time, preferablt from behind so you just feel him literally walking into your thighs. If you turn around he jumps back though and often still doesn’t let you touch him. He loves being around people now and enjoys a head rub every now and then, but will still keep his distance most of the time and wil just lie somewhere near you and watch you.

I had him out for the first time the other day and he was shaking a lot at the start and just running from one tree to the next and trying to hide behind cars. He relaxed for some of the walk though and spent ages snifing the grass in the park. He was delighted!

Oscar has a home waiting for him and will go around the middle of August, before that I will try and do some more work with him and get him used to people. He has put on a bit of weight and has had a bath so he is a little smashing thing now! Him and Foxy play all day long and they are both wrecked by the time I get home :-)
