Just thought I would put up some more pics of the little ladies!

As mentioned in an earlier post, they already know how to sit, give the paw and lie down and are the most easy going pups! They walk brilliantly on the lead and are toilet trained.

Who ever gets these babies will be very lucky!!!

We miss Ella but are delighted to see that she has settled in so well in her new foster home! And a new boyfriend too! :)

Ellen (aka Ruby-Ellas sister) is still in foster with me.

These two sisters are so well behaved and like you said buzzsmom totally relaxed for red setters! And very clever, they already know sit,paw and down, they walk well on the lead, they are totally house trained and are just adorable puppies!!!

These two little puppies are still here with me. They were reserved for a family but unfortunately it fell through!

These little girlie’s are getting bigger by the day and are having great fun playing with Bruce and Ollie the kitten, they did a bit of gardening the other day! :)
They already know how to sit and give the paw and we are working on down at the moment. Whoever gets these beauties will be very lucky as they are just the sweetest!

I will update with photos soon.

Both these little beauties are getting on great! Sleeping right through the night without making a noise and the crate is always spotless. Doing well on the toilet training but have had a few accidents in the house but they are only babies! They love their bed, toys and the kitten and follow Bruce everywhere!

Ella is the smaller of the two:

This little guy stayed with me for a few hours today.

The poor little mite could hardly see as his eyes were so full of gunk! He was extremely nervous for the first 30 mins or so. Took him about 10 mins to finally come out of his crate, when he did he drank a whole bowl of water and then had a sniff around the garden…the whole time his back legs were shaking! (I thought they would buckle under his body)

I eventually got close to give him a cuddle and he just melted in my arms…. I was absolutely heartbroken for him….

He has some sort of eye infection, so hopefully once he gets medication that will clear up and he needs to put on a bit of weight, as his hair makes him look bulkier than he really is.

Once he warmed to me he was a total gentleman. He chilled out in the garden with a pigs ear and was not a bother the whole time he was here!

Thanks so much to Niamh for taking this little gem into a warm, loving foster family.

This little boy deserves the best in life from now on!

    xx

I was reading up a bit about the Lhasa Apso as a breed.

The Lhasa Apso originated in Tibet in the Himalayan Mountains hundreds of years ago. It’s named after the sacred city of Lhasa. For years the breed remained solely bred in Tibet by holy men and nobles. It was used as a watchdog in temples and monasteries. The dog was considered sacred. The belief was that when its master died the master’s soul entered the Lhasa Apso’s body. The breed was not easy to come across and were hard to buy. The dogs were considered good luck to their owners.

They need to be brushed about once a day to keep their coats from matting. Clean the eyes and ears meticulously, for they tend to tear. This breed is an average shedder.

Their life expectancy is about 15 or more years. This breed is very long-lived. Some dogs live up to 18 or more years.

Lhasa Apsos are spirited and devoted little dogs, which are affectionate with their masters. They can be very obedient to their masters. They have a keen sense of hearing, and make good watch dogs. The Lhasa Apso travels well.

Bozo (Freddie) is a total dote, he is one of the most affectionate dogs we have fostered and loves nothing more than a cuddle and a good rub on the belly! He has been allowed sleep in our room on a few occasions and he curls up at the end of the bed for the night. He is a really easy dog in the house, you would hardly know he is there.

As I said in a previous post, he is a great little watch dog! He spent ages the other day barking up at a helicopter, he was terrified of it, but he is getting more and more used to the new sounds!

Freddie is still a bit nervous with strangers and other dogs and barks and yaps at them until they pass when out on a walk. In saying that he gets in brilliantly with our dog Bruce and himself and the kitten have become best of friends, he is incredibly gentle with her. So, I think it is all down to fear.

He can become a little possessive with tennis balls and other toys, so because he is still a bit unsure, I would say Freddie would be better suited to a home with no children.

    Pics to follow :)
