DSCF0651.JPGscallywagMemberI have for aggggeeesss been meaning to upload pictures of Harriet to show everybody at DID! So I have picked my favourites (I have waaay to many to upload) to share with you right from her first night with us to her recent fun in the snow!
We have and are enjoying every minute with Harriet. She is the joy of our house and she wins over every person she meets. She is quite literally, uncontrollably friendly. She enjoys nothing more than to be around people even if its just sitting by your feet.
She loves playing with other dogs….mostly Noodles who is her best friend who lives across the road (also a DID dog) And in true collie style can get enough of her tennis balls! She loves to go for swims in the sea and splash around with other dogs!
If it was to snow all year round Harriet would be in her element, she loved playing in the snow and eating it too!
We are so lucky and grateful to have been allowed to adopt Harriet and cannot imagine our lives without her! She is such a loveable, playful and clever dog and we all love her to bits!

DSCF0660.JPGscallywagMemberI am so sorry to hear about Millie. I cried when I read your posting. I would be devastated if anything happened to Harriet! They are fantastic pups and I’m sure you have loads of amazing memories! Thinking of you during this difficult time!
RIP Millie x
scallywagMemberWe have Harriet and having pretty much same issues with the food. We bought Science plan food and the measures on the bag are a bit vague. We have been giving Harriet four handfuls a day. We try to spread them out but keep them roughly around morning and evening times. Harriet is always sniffing for food so its hard to tell. If she still seems very hungry we give her a doggy biscuit or two! Hope your having as much fun with Hermonie as we are with Harriet!!! Good luck!
scallywagMemberI took home Hortense’s sister Harriet a week ago and by the sounds of it they are most definitely sisters! Harriet is a serious nipper and although she thinks shes playing it is hard to stop her. We bought the Gwen Bailey book and its like our bible at the moment. For the biting we first try clapping our hands hard and saying no which usually works if shes not too hyped up (waving your finger at her doesn’t work….she just thinks its a toy! ) and if that doesn’t work we just always have a toy at hand and just put that in her mouth. Good Luck!
scallywagMemberWe took Harriet home last night. She settled in straight away. She is a little cheeky monkey but loves her cuddles all the same. We know how lucky we are, shes very special! We will put up some pictures in the next few days so watch this space!
