After a very tough 2 years of her life, Patch is finally enjoying life as it should be!
Patch has been doing great and we can see a huge change in her outlook. She gets so excited when we get the leads and put our jackets on! She knows its walkies time!!!
She is becoming very popular with other dogs and dog owners in the park. She loves a good run and having other dogs chase her!
She is doing great in basic training as she is a fast learner. She knows she has to sit to get her food or treats (you don’t even have to tell her to sit when you have food).
Patch still needs a little work on her recall especially when she is excited about something new. She can be a little shy at first with new people especially men and she is great with kids!
We had 3 kids over aged between 1.5 and 3, she was just so gentle and affectionate with all of them. She loves being pet, brushed and cuddled. She will just sit there with a big smile!!
Patch’s letter to Santa was to find her a forever home!

As soon as we let her off the lead, all she wanted to do was run and play! The other dogs had a hard time keeping up with her.Patch was great with the other dogs in the park but was a little intimidated by a full grown Husky that was trying to jump over all dogs smaller then himself!
Patch loves being brushed. She will sit the whole day enjoying the attention.
Patch’s ideal forever home is with a loving and active family!
She is great with kids too as she was used in the classroom at the school for blind children.
She knows her forever family is out there somewhere!!!No photos this time!!!
rubi27MemberYesterday Patch had her first car ride and visit to the vet to be microchiped and vaccinated. She sat in the back looking out through the rear window and smiling at the cars behind!!
She was so relaxed that you would not even know she was in the car!
At the vets she was really friendly with other dogs in the waiting room. The vet tech took her in and was out in a few minutes. They were amazed at how calm and relaxed she was throughout the procedure.
In conclusion, she loves car rides!
‘s my treat for being so good!!!!.JPGrubi27MemberAs it was Halloween weekend we decided it’s time for a party.
We had children and adults around coming in and out through the day.
This gave us very good opportunity to assess Patches reaction to strangers, kids and noise around the house.
I have to say she was such a star and was the limelight of the party.
Patch was the official babysitter while the parents had something to eat or drink.
She really entertained the kids (2 years and above) as she was very playful yet gentle.
She is just fantastic with kids. The party was a great fun for everyone!!!
Happy Halloween from all of us!!!!rubi27MemberPatch (that’s the name that she was called when we got her) has settled in very quickly and only now we experienced her real “ME”!
It’s been a week and 2 days since Patch arrived. Since then she has learned to sit, walk on the lead and to respond when her name is called.
This is a massive progress considering, there was less than a week of decent weather for outdoors training. She is very playful and loves a good run.
She has a very healthy appetite and is not possessive over her food. She can be very curious about her surroundings when on a walk.
She sometimes does get startled by certain noises on a busy street and fireworks, it being Halloween and all.
She would make a great companion for someone and/or another dog.
Beautiful and smart girl!- attaching some more pics of her

Its still early days as we have had her for only 3 nights. Initially her demeanor was very shy and timid. As she was never allowed into a house, lead trained or crate trained we are very suprised at how fast she’s learning it all and she seems very comfortable in her crate. She is also housebroken. She is very comfortable with her foster-brother Jacky being around her all the time aswell.
Shes such a gorgeous girl even her mild snoring is like ocean waves to Jacky’s ears.
More updates to follow
In the meantime here is a picture of her in her little crate.
