Well lulie, she’s still waiting for her forever home. Milly is doing great. She’s having the time of her life playing chasing with Pippin at every opportunity and even Boomer joins in. She’s a little bit possessive of toys and has a bit of a growl if either of the other two go near something she wants. We’ve been taking things from her and giving her something better instead just to try to get her out of the habit. Earlier on I heard a little bark from the sunroom and went out to see what was up, it was Milly asking to go out to the loo. I let her out and a few minutes later, another little bark asking to come in. She’s really clever. There’s no minding on her at all, a very easy dog to have around. We’ll try to get more pictures up this week.
pipandbooMemberWell the little scallywag is doing great. She’s settled down now and is not really challenging for status anymore, she’s more certain of her position now. She’s getting on great with Boomer and Pippin even though I think they’re a bit jealous of her getting any attention, still though, they all play together and have great fun. She’s very good on the lead and very good in the car. She’s house trained and apart from the first day she was here she hasn’t had any accidents in the house. Milly is so easy to look after, all she wants to do is play or cuddle, she’d be a great companion for anyone. We’ll keep you updated on her progress.
pipandbooMemberah she looks so cute. good to see her again and to know that she’s safe and happy!
pipandbooMemberthanks girls, the easiest groom i’ve ever done

Millie – New-03.jpgpipandbooMemberShe is a little cutie alright. Promise to have the photos up this evening. She’s on an armchair asleep now after her walk in punchestown. However, that’s not the only reason she’s tired!! Forget what I said in the previous post about her being nervous of our two dogs, oh my God she’s a lunatic for play, especially with Pippin our westie. The two of them were having a ball earlier playing chasing around the house and last night Boomer had joined in the fun aswell. She’s very energetic and loves a game, be it with us or the dogs. She’s a real little charachter, full of fun and gives you a very enthusiastic greeting even if she’s only seen you a few minutes ago. She has been trying to assert her status with Pippin (if you know what I mean) or else she just really fancies him, either way it’s all harmless and doesn’t get out of hand.
pipandbooMemberHere’s a few pictures of Milly before her haircut. These were taken shortly after she arrived with us.

Millie-01.jpgpipandbooMemberMilly arrived yesterday and to start with was very jumpy and nervous of our other two dogs. If either of them even moved she’d just go flat on her belly and not move. As the day went on though, she started to relax a bit more and everyone had a bit of a sniff of everybody else. She’s grand in the same room as them but doesn’t like it when they stare at her and she starts to get a bit stressed. She may be ok in a home with another very quiet dog but I think she’d be much happier being an only dog and getting lots of attention. She doesn’t like to be on her own either, if you leave a room she’ll follow you or else she’ll just start crying and get very stressed, so a home where there’ll be somebody there all day would be best.
She’s eating fine now and her playful side is starting to show. She seems to like chew toys and she’ll push them around with her paw. She’s a dream to walk on the lead, I wish our own two were as good. She’s very affectionate and likes a lot of pets and cuddles. She’s house trained but tends not to look to go out, so we need to make sure we bring her out every couple of hours and make sure she does her business. There was just one accident in the house but that was our fault for not escorting her out in the dark, she wasn’t familiar with the garden. I gave her a haircut today and again, she was a dream to groom. There was no moving around or trying to get away and she was so gentle. After I’d trimmed one paw she lifted the other one up for me to trim as well.
We’ll post pictures of the new look Milly tomorrow and you can see how pretty she is. This dog is just adorable, gentle, affectionate, well behaved, just everything you could want in a dog. Really all she wants is somebody to cuddle up to on the couch and pet her.pipandbooMemberWe’re so sad that you’re moving on, little Jess, but we’re so happy that you’re getting your ‘forever’ home, and with a really nice family.
Jessie.jpgpipandbooMemberThanks very much Angjo. By the way, Jessie’s a she!!
pipandbooMemberWe can’t believe she hasn’t been snapped up either and after her haircut today she’s an even more beautiful little girl. I know everytime we post a note on the forum we always go on about how she’s improving with every passing day, but it’s just so true. We had visitors during the week and at first Jessie seemed to revert to her cowering and scuttling away. But after about 15 minutes she was up in their laps, looking for pets. It was so good to see this change in her.
She still doesn’t have an awful lot to do with our dogs but she makes the odd ‘effort’ with our Cocker Spaniel. He hasn’t a clue what she’s at but he’s patient with her nonetheless. I’ll post a couple of pictures of her soon, so you can see her lovely new haircut – Well I think it’s lovely!!
pipandbooMemberShe is a very happy little dog and very partial to head and ear massages. She was actually purring with contentment earlier this evening when Fiona was gently rubbing her head. She’s such a different little dog to the one that came here 8 weeks ago.
She’s such a little joy and a great companion – a real little Lap dog!!
pipandbooMemberA couple more images of Jessie.

DSC00182.JPGpipandbooMemberJessie is well settled here now. Her relationship with Pippin and Boomer has never been anything other than a stand-off and yet she can be fine around other dogs. She loves to be the centre of attention and doesn’t like other dogs taking the spotlight off her. She would so like to be the only dog here.
There’s nothing she likes more than her long walk everyday. It’s so amazing to see her come out of herself and bounce around the place. On our walk yesterday she was jumping around in the long grass, happy as larry. She doesn’t seem too interested in swimming or water in general (unless it’s for drinking).
And there’s nothing wrong with her appetite. She cleans her bowl everyday and likes to help others clean their’s too…..! Her evenings consist of cuddling up on the couch. And then there’s the quick walk before bedtime and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz………….!
