Well time for Harry’s first Christmas update.
As I’ve said befor Harry is just a little wonder. He is so happy all of the time, never a bother out of him and he is up for every adventure.
We are looking for ward to having lots of adventures together over the christmas break. However I don’t think that he is to fond of his christmas outfit ..lol.
phototree.JPGPatCMemberOh that is fantastic news Michelle. I am so thrilled, yourself and your mum have been fantastic foster parent. That is one lucky family getting such a great dog. Give her a hug from myself and Harry, we will miss her on the canal walk!! Xx
PatCMemberNo Michelle the offer is over, but he is very reasonably priced, I’ll drop his card around to you over the weekend.
PatCMemberHappy head!!
photo3.JPGPatCMemberWell it’s time for a well overdue update on Harry, 5 months since we adopted him, and he is still the most amazing dog in the world to us. He is just so great with everybody and other dogs, people don’t say hello to me any more just hello to Harry, which is understandable as he is the nicer of us…lol. His favour thing at the moment is to jump into the canal when we are out for our walks….i’m not sure it he does it just so as he can have a shower when he gets home.
He has had lots of mountain walks, which he loves, but last weekend was his first time on the beach with us, he was a bit nervous of the waves at first, but he soon got the hang of it. He was covered in sand so I’m sure he enjoyed it coz he slept all of the way home.
Anyway here are a couple of pics of the boy, some were taken by petphotography.ie who were doing a free promotion inPetco, Harry is a born poser.

photo2.JPGPatCMemberMyself and Harry met Ruby this morning when we were our for our walk. She is a lovely friendly dog, great temperment with both humans and other dogs (loves being petted and cuddled). She even tried to rob Harry’s ball, but she would need to be very quick.
Hopefully she won’t be in foster for too long, she is a lovely dog.
PatCMemberWell myself John and Harry went up to Petco on the longmile road today, to stock up on treats etc. When a lady heard me calling Harry’s name (after I accidentally stood on his foot ….oops), She came over to me and said is that Harry from dogs in distress and I said yes. It turns out that it was Marie from DID who had actually rescue Harry from the pound. She was thrilled to see that he is doing so well, it was a happy reunion!!
There was also another lady who recognised him from the website and she thought he was adorable.
Thanks Marie for the chat and for rescuing our little wonder. It was really nice to meet you and we hope to see you again soon xx
And as promised here is the link to harry solving his Nina Ottosson puzzle after only 2 mins training.

photo 5.JPGPatCMemberWell it has been almost 6 weeks since Harry came into and changed our lives. He is the most amazing dog, such a great character. He loves his walks, he is like a durcell bunny, he just goes and goes. He is great on the lead unless he sees a cat then all hell breaks loose. He gives so much love, he sleeps at the foot of the bed all night and creeps up onto the bed at about 6:30 to give us our "wake up, it’s time for my walk" licks.
He loves everybody that comes into the house and has even won the heart of one of our friends that is terrified of dogs, he even lets harry sit on his lap.
We are going away for a few days next month and both of our families are all fighting over who will mind him. Which is not a bad complaint.
I just was to thank DID again for bring such an wonderful light into our lives.
Here are a few photos, one of them is in his Paddys day outfit which got some great smiles and laughs.

photo 3.JPGPatCMemberWell we have only had Harry since Sunday but It feels like I have know him all of my life. He has settled in fantastically well. We have some great walks and he is really great on the lead now (just the odd little slip up if he see’s a cat). He is very respectful of everyone that comes into the house and he is just a wonderful all round dog. Last night we didn’t even turn on the tv, we just played and had a good laugh at his antics. I really can’t thank DID enough. We can’t imagine our lives with out Harry.

photo 2.JPGPatCMemberWell Harry has settled in straight away. I took his cone off when we went for walks yesterday (so as the other dogs would not laugh at him). He is such a character, loves to be in the centre of everything. I can see us having some very happy times together! A big thanks to Claire, Michelle and especially Sinead (Harry couldn’t have wished for a better foster mum).
