Oh, I’m so glad little Eva/Poppy settled in well. She was my favorite foster dog — such a smart, loving little pup, and she went to a fabulous family.
mimivMemberThis is a lovely little dog. We think he might have some whippet in him. He’s quite thin. He’s energetic, but very quick to learn commands. He’s about knee height and has lovely floppy ears. Our old dog has just gotten too old to deal with such a young pup, so we need to find a foster home for him asap. He really is a sweetie. I’ll try to get a photo up.
mimivMemberWell, Eva/Poppy went to her new home this morning. It was a sad day for us, as we’ve come to love her, but she’s now part of a great family and will have the best of lives.
mimivMemberThis pup is just gorgeous and very sweet. I don’t think there’s much Westie in her, though. Maybe her ears. But again I’m no expert. She has wonderfully soft blond hair with some darker streaks. She is too thin under all that hair but seems healthy otherwise. Lovely, quiet temperament. Of course they always arrive that way and in a day or two their true personality comes out, but I think she’ll be a gentle pup. We’re just holding her for a few hours, but I think her foster family, and ultimately her forever family are in for a real treat. Oh, and she loves her cuddles.
mimivMemberI hear re-homing may be imminent. I hope it’s soon because we’re getting too attached. She’s just such a great little pup. She’s so smart and mature for her 8 months. Perfectly house trained. Can entertain herself for hours. She runs in and out of the house all day and loves to chase birds and root around the yard exploring. She’ll come in and say hi and cuddle up and take a little nap. She is much more confident these days and so, so cute.
mimivMemberI’m away from home for a few days, but my husband tells me eva is doing quite well. She’s a super little dog and would be a great companion. I hope the people who have posted here and might be interested in meeting her have contacted the appropriate DID person and filled out the adoption form. I believe that’s the procedure.
mimivMemberShe’s a great little dog. The vet said she was about 8 months old, and she’s very calm for such a young dog. She’s perfectly housed trained and learns quickly. Even our grumpy old man Tyson, who usually has no time for the foster, is warming to her. She’s a wonderful guard dog too as she alerted me to an intruder in our backyard last week. And she’s cute, cute, cute.
mimivMemberEva (Poppy) got spayed today. She is feeling very sorry for herself, understandably. Her appetite is good and seems to be feeling better already. Those big sad eyes of hers just melt my heart.
How could you do this to me?
I need another nap.mimivMemberHa, she has learned how to open the car window.
mimivMemberOh, and she’s much tinier than she looks in the photos. A wonderful little lap dog, but sufficiently independent.
mimivMemberSo we are now calling this adorable little girl Poppy. When she arrived at our house she huddled in the corner and her tail was tight between her legs for a few days. Now she is a confident pup — curious and funny and affectionate. A real cheeky terrier. She is great with other dogs, and has pretty good recall. We let her off the leash when we walk her in Phoenix park and she runs back and forth and in circles around us, having a grand old time.
She is a wonderful little dog, and anyone would be lucky to get her. While she’s much less submissive now, she still has her moments. She would do well with some basic obedience lessons. She is perfectly house trained, and is wonderfully behaved for such a young dog, but she looses it a little when she gets overexcited. This I don’t think I’d recommend she be homed with young children. Here’s a few photos, but none capture how cuddly she is.
She loves the car and is interested in everything and everyone going by.
Beautiful girlmimivMemberSo her photo does not do this little girl justice. She is tinier than she looks here, a delicate little being and just beautiful. She has obviously had a hard time and is very shy and submissive. She is warming up to my husband and I and likes nothing better than sitting quietly on our laps. She is also very curious and enjoys exploring the house and yard. I will post photos soon and as she calms down and trusts us more, I’ll post more info. on her personality. Right now I’d say she’d be a perfect companion to an older person or anyone who wants a young dog without the exuberant puppy energy. I don’t know how well she would do with young children as she is so timid, and shows signs of some sort of former abuse (besides being thrown out of the car). She might, however, be a wonderful friend for an older, shyer child.
mimivMemberThis lovely little fellow is growing well and is a joy to have around. He’s playful and sweet and talkative — not barky talkative, but growly talkative in the cutest way. He spends is days playing with his little friend Kareena, and then sleeping, then eating, and then starting all over again.
Yum!

I a good friend. I share!

mimivMemberInteresting that he’s Golden Retriever not Labrador Retriever. He is so dark, but does have retriever features, and little collie ears, and he is very, very smart and obedient for such a young dog. And each day he gets bigger and cuter. I’ll post more photos in a couple of days.

mimivMemberIt’s great Ossie has settled in well with the family. He is such a great dog and It’s wonderful, I think, that you’re taking the time to train him. He’ll be a such a good little doggie citizen. Please post photos.
