Its unfortuate Pete wasnt the dog for you MadMadra but it wouldnt be fair on both parties if Pete had to be returned if you discovered that too late…so you did the right thing…there is no rush for Pete only to get the right home for him :)

Pete is a big dog and can be strong he has come on along way since i got him and thats only 3weeks once whoever takes pete keeps up his lead training he will be the perfect dog he is fine on his own its only when you walk him with more then one dog…so i think that is great progress for pete already the easy solution would be just to stick the halti on but if he can do it on his own he will soon learn to do it in company :) he is not doing anything bold just enjoying walking I can walk him on a loose lead when not accompanied by another dog

I brought Pete to donabate house yesterday and he attracted a group of kids who were distracted from their picnic when they saw him and came runnig over as I put him in the back of the jeep and he sat quitely and let them all pet him :)

I brought two to Dog Training Dublin last weekend…They had a dog socialisation class there so I brought them to that to start with to see which class would suit them and one needs to be socialised but it turns out its the same guy that I went to training classes with my German Shepard years ago so he is good but can let you’s know how I get on with the classes next week.

    Hi MadraMad

If you are interested in adopting Pete please fill in an application in the download section and someone will be in touch with you asap :) whoever has pete will be a really lucky person.

Pete is an absolute pet…the only time he is a bit jumpy is when he see’s you first thing in the morning because he is so happy to see you :) Literally his whole body wags when he sees you so much so he nearly falls over
I have been doing a bit of obidence training on the lead with him and he now walks camly beside you without pulling so he is acutally quite gentle for a big dog :) He is not agressive at all…he hasnt a bad bone in his body he loves people and other dogs.
He goes to bed with his treat everynight and there isn’t a sound out of him. He is your best friend in the kitchen and if you have food will just keep giving you his paw in the hope he will get some of your dinner :)
He loves to play with his toys. He is good with everyone he meets and greets them with a waggy tail. To some it up Pete has a heart of gold.
If you have anymore questions just ask but hope that helps !
