livMember
She seems like a fabulous girl. I love the eyes. I used to see that in huskies. She looks like she enjoys the snow so if the forecast for this weekend is right then she will have some more fun.
livMemberWhat fabulous news! And on Thanksgiving Day! I think thats a good omen. Best of luck to Baxter and his new family. He really is very loving and full of fun. Emma – you did so much for Baxter – Im sure you are missing him but we can all look forward to hearing about his new life.
livMemberOh Baxter is looking so happy with that nice smile and shaking paws so nicely . My Christmas wish is for Baxter to find a wonderful family of his very own – its nothing less than he deserves. I hope he is enjoying the country lifestyle! Give him hugs and love from his Dublin friends.
livMemberAhh – so many great photos of Baxter! Thanks tanya and emma. My son was looking over my shoulder at the photos of him on the table and said "vintage Baxter". so glad to see that he’s happy out on the Curragh. Can we say the same about the sheep? Sending all our good wishes his way.
livMemberWow – he looks stunning! Congratulations on bringing him on so well. He has really filled out and he even look like he is full of confidence.
livMemberTodd is gorgeous! He looks like a dog who should be on the stage performing great feats. I love his colouring. And what diligence to do a home visit!
livMemberBaxter has been a good boy. We have taken lots of walks and he is very good at ignoring people now and is not pulling the lead so much. He’s a good pupil.
He had a major food binge today – all healthy food for people but not sure if it was all that suitable for dogs. He robbed a punnet of cherries, a red pepper, a yellow pepper and a whole raw turnip off the counter. I dont know what got into him. My husband says we need a cctv camera in the kitchen. There’s never a dull moment with Baxter!
DSC01517.JPGlivMemberHe really is a good dog. He is a big strong puppyish fella. But he does have an inner calm! I also have a dog who is almost 14 who has a tumour on his side and he is slowing down and I have to be careful that I dont stress him too much with the fostering and all but Baxter is very careful and gives Adam a wide berth and is very considerate. He knows that he can play with my younger fella (former DID dog)
Max and give the cat the odd half hearted chase but he knows when to stop too. Baxter is lovely when he is running. Someone in his previous life must have taken a knife to one of his ears – its shorter and a different shape than the other and also cut his tail – perhaps in an attempt to make him look like a different type of dog – perhaps to make him seem fierce – its hard to know why. So he’s not that symmetrical but I think he has a really cute look. It goes without saying – but I’ll say it – he’s neutered, microchipped, vaxed and wormed and ready to go to his new home wherever that may be… please dont over look this guy – he’s a wiggly bundle of fun.
livMemberWhat heartbreaking news. I’m so sorry for your lovely puppy.
livMemberHere’s a shot of Baxter and his buddy Ribery. Poor Ribery has to eat on the counter or Baxter will grab his dish but otherwise the cat doesnt seem too put out and Baxter ignores him pretty much. Baxter’s expression is somewhat sad but he isnt a sad dog. He’s a pretty happy chap and loves to be part of whatever is going on.
DSC01516.JPGlivMemberBaxter gets better every day. He is so calm around food – never any worries at feeding times. Baxter jumped around in the sea the other night on our walk and always makes a bee line for the creek in the park so he would love a home where he can have some fun in the water. I didnt have much to say but wanted to keep this fellow out there and to stress again what a nice dog he is.

DSC01515.JPGlivMemberBaxter continues to be a lovely dog. He is getting on very well with our cat, older dog and young dog, as well as the family of course. He loves to swim and has jumped into the pond at the park several time. When he is walked along the coast path he spends a lot of his time looking at the water and checking out the rocks. Baxter was very excitable when he first arrived and he has calmed down quite a bit – no longer barking at everything he sees while in the car. He adjusted very quickly to our household and I think he is very clever.

DSC01509.JPGlivMemberWhat a beauty! I was so worried, thinking about him on that cramped balcony, especially in this heat.
livMemberWhat a transformation! And is that a mischievous glint in those eyes?? He is a real credit to his new family. sending lots of love his way!
livMemberBruce has just left us to start his new life. Aferdia – I feel your pain! But I bet you find your perfect dog soon – sadly there is no end to the dogs in need. Audrey – that was fun at the theatre – couldnt get bruce to stop lying on the seat out of view. His new family can work on those commands.
