MemberHi,
Just to let you know that I did the HV for Belles new home. The family just rang me to say how happy they were, that she was absolutely lovely and they couldn’t believe that they got the dog they had wanted. They are over the moon.
Hope you are not too sad without her, she looks an absolute dote. Rest assured, she has gone to a great home.March 19, 2009 at 12:22 am in reply to: Roxy – Little terrier (featuring her best pal bindi!) #81461ladles
MemberCongratulations to Roxy and Maura and all the birth helpers. Look forward to seeing the photos of the little ones. Thanks for all you have done and are doing for this little dog.

MemberI think I saw Holly out this morning. I am remembering her by the white triangle on her chest. She seems like a lovely little girl.

MemberMy friend took Bea out this morning. She was in good form. Sometimes she is reluctant to walk and definitely likes to walk with another dog. A little encouragment goes a long way with Bea. She loves her treats. She is strong enough on the lead. There is a playful side to her, it would be lovely to see that brought out in her.

MemberYes, things definitely improving with Gypsy. I managed to persuade her out of the kennel and get her back into the kennel all on my own today. There were a few stops but she seems more open to having a walk and loves if you run with her around the field. I think she will be more outgoing with strangers in no time. She is great on the lead and loves other dogs.

Still trying to get a handle on sending photos, so the image is small but it shows Gypsy out and about.

MemberI took Gypsy out on friday and not knowing anything about the dog, I had nothing to be fearful of. I thought she was a he so for now I will say she. She was so nervous that it took a while to get going but when we did we had a lovely walk together. I got lots of belly rubs and kisses. So I was determined to see if she would come out again today. I think she remembered me but she was still very shy, Ricardos had to carry her outside for me. Eventually we got going, but it does take time and patience. She is very gentle, I had no worries about her at all. She was good with a boy who was there today and she was absolutely fine with other dogs. This dog is probably not used to been on a lead and keeps doing a sheep dog behaviour and lying down. A lot of love and a little bit of gentle firmness will help this lovely dog to become less nervous. It was difficult to get Gypsy back in through the pound door , she will just lie down and it is hard to pull them but had to do so in the end.Once she is past the doors she just trots back in. This dog is very special and is worth taking time with. I think the rewards will be huge.

MemberBea was out walking today, she looked in great form inspite of the let down she had with her rehome. Hopefully someone will give this lovely dog a permanent home next time.

MemberReally sorry to hear that Bea has ended up back in the pound again. Might there be a possibility that the people who rehomed her will come looking for her, fingers crossed.

MemberThis is the lovely wriggly staffie, daughter of Romeo & Juliet. I did meet this little girl about a week ago in the pound. She was out for a walk and was so very friendly and affectionate. Hope this little girl along with her parents get a chance to find their forever homes.

MemberI think the Rosie staffie pup that has been lucky enough to find a forever home with Alan is not the Rosie, daughter of Romeo & Juliet. I will pull out that Rosie thread and put a comment. I think I met this very friendly wriggly pup over a week ago and she may still be there.

MemberNo sign of Chuck this morning so I asked the pound staff. They told me that Chuck has gone to live in Kildare. This is fantastic news so thanks to whoever has given Chuck this well deserved chance to a new life. Hooray!
