Tyson has such a great personality. He will make some family very happy as you will find yourself laughing quite a lot with a dog like him. He loves all the people and all the dogs. He will need a home that is willing to give him time and lots of exercise so that he gets a chance and it works out. He is not that big really, he is a bit of a jumper upper, so will not suit a home with young children, but teenagers would be great. He is very very affectionate.

Betsy is such a good dog, she is strong and can pull on the lead but she has been cooped up for a while, so she is eager to let go. When you run, she trots beside you and never jumps up. I ‘d say she will be easy to train.

Amy was out today, she is beautiful. She is a gentle girl. No bother with the other dogs. I would say she is strong on the lead. She was happy to hang around while her walker stopped. I am posting this as the person who walked her may not get a chance to post up, if they do, great.

Hi said hello to Amy this morning, she unfortunately was the other side of her kennel grille. She gently took a treat from me through the grille and seems quiet. Only the pound staff are able to walk her but if anyone has any further information I will post it here. She will need help asap.

What a lovely photo of Markey, looks as if he is grown up a tiny bit. Delighted to hear he is such a good little fella and gets on with everyone. Thanks for posting the photo, it’s really nice to see how the dogs that you know a little are getting on. He seems to be having a lovely time at your house and I am sure will miss you when he finds his forever home. Thanks for the kindness.

Tyson is still looking for his forever home or foster. He will to well with some training, he is very reponsive. He will pull to get to the other dogs as he is friendly with all. Away on his own, he is good on the lead. I think he will probably have good recall as well if given the chance. He is very affectionate, he likes his belly rubbed. His temperament is good even though he is now in the pound a while. it does not seem to bother him. It would be lovely to see him out and safe soon. He really is lovely.

Now it must be Megan’s turn to get in to foster. Her two brothers have managed it thanks to their kind foster homes. Fingers crossed for Megan, she is gorgeous.

I was given Betsy to take out on a walk on Wednesday. She is a bouncy puppy, but she is actually quite good on the lead when away from distractions. She does not mouth or bite on your hands, she had a little go at the lead once or twice. I thought she was really good considering how young she is. She has a lovely face.

Jakie like his brother and sister is another quiet chilled out little puppy. Was snoozing when I was there, even with all the activity going on around him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jamie last week. He is very cute and chilled out. He did get up to see what was going on but than snuggled back down to have a little rest. These are very relaxed quiet little puppies.

Megan is a fantastic dog, really beautiful. Her brother Louie who is out in foster with dogluvers has already got a reserved sign beside his name. These are really lovely unusual pups, for anyone looking for a big breed dog. Megan would make a great addition to any house. If you have the space and are interested, please consider adopting or fostering Megan. If you have the time go up to Ashton pound and see how lovely she is in real life.

Billy is so sweet. It is funny but so sad when he bumps into your legs. He is very aware when the other dogs are around but he is not sure where they are. He has a lovely temperament and deserves a safe a secure place to call his own.

Lovely gentle dog, had a quick cuddle while he was out on his walk. He is a dog that needs a lot of exercise, maybe his last home were not up to that. Hopefully next time he will go to an active household who can give him all he dererves. He was calm out amongst all the other dogs today.

Hi Marie, I believe that the majority of the people who log on to the wonderful DID website have and should have the upmost repect for what the admin people do on a daily basis in order to save the lives of many dogs. If they don’t well here are only some of the things that you achieve that I am aware of .I do not have ongoing contact with the people who are directly responsible for saving the dogs.
Most of the dogs that get out and safe and in to foster is as a result of DID. The treats, good food and beds comes from the generous donations of individual people but mainly from DID. At the weekends, there is an adundance of tasty things left in each kennel for the dogs. I know that DID would not think twice about putting there own hand into their own pocket to help a dog get some urgent help and attention at the vets. And this I have witnessed. I still can not get over how much they achieve on a daily basis. I have no idea how they run or have time for their own lives and some have large families and dogs of their own to look after and love. I am shocked that there are people out there who question the integrity of the work that is given to help dogs on a voluntary basis. I question their motivation in all of this and wonder where there priorities in caring for animals lie. I will finish off to say how disappointed to see that the target that was needed to fund the eye operation for the puppies was not reached. Keep up the brilliant work all of you kind caring generous human beings that are Dogs in Distress. Thanks for all your hard work.

This little puppy was still in the pound at lunchtime today. The pound staff had the puppy out for a short while today, getting some fresh air and a chance to stretch its legs. Loads of personality. Hopefully its skin condition is improving. With all the treatments it has had, it should be safe and on the road to recovery.
