Pippin would like to send a massive Thank You to Dogs in Distress for helping him and all the other doggies, and to wish you all a safe and happy Christmas and all the best for 2015.
As you can see it is hard to get up in the morning after a big night’s wrecking Smile
He is a dear little man, an absolutely perfect house dog, getting better at meeting other dogs and we need to work on his issues with cars and motorbikes next year. To be honest, I would never had picked him to adopt, but we are lucky he found us.

I tried updating Vinnie and Harvey happy ending page on the website but kept getting logged out. Could you post for me ?
Hope all is well with you and thanks again for all your help.
Well Vinnie and Harvey are doing great. Vinnie took a little convincing at the start that a new housemate was a good idea, but with some persuasion ( and some great advice from Marie ) he soon realised that we have plenty of love and attention to go around as well as loads of toys, treats and room on the sofa! Most importantly though, Harvey is much better at chasing and wrestling him then I could ever be!
Once a week they both head off to Wicklow with a big gang of dogs for an off lease walk. It’s so great to see the two charge out, heads held high and not even a side glance to see if I’m still there! Both come home happy and exhausted and collapse in front of the fire. When I’m working from home we head to the beach in the morning and then the two flake out on my feet or sprawled on the sofa with all eight legs straight up in the air.
Vinnie is growing up to be a typical little terrier, full of energy, mischief and personality. Confident and utterly fearless with a tail that never stops wagging (even in his sleep sometimes) and his antics never fail to amuse. We brought him to some training classes and while he won best in class, we suspect his impeccable behaviour had more to do with his love of ham treats then any interest in doing what he’s told
He insists on saying hello to everyone we meet and loves meeting other dogs , the bigger the better ! He’s developed a crush on a neighbours Weimaraner and its hilarious to watch him follow her around adoringly.
Harvey is a little sweetheart and settling in really well. Still a little nervous but gaining confidence daily. He’s supper smart and responding to training brilliantly so things like "watch me" is helping allot when he gets a bit spooked by things. We also have play sessions with the hairdryer and vacuum cleaner, placing treats and toys on things that scar him
He’s a joy to bring on off leash walks and looks trilled with himself when you call him back (a great influence on Vinnie !!)
We would like to thank Marie, Clare and all at DID for their help and support and looking forward to spending our first Christmas with our two lovely DID dogs

From Pips foster family
Pip arrived with us on Monday last. She was friendly and gentle but very nervous and apprehensive of her new surroundings. She was very well behaved from the start, and apart from a couple of little nervous accidents, was fully house trained. She made friends immediately with Coco our DID JRT. As the week progressed she blossomed and became more confident.
She loves her walks (still on the lead), but was terrified of the car and would not come near it. With patience, encouragement from Coco and a little bribing from us, she gradually lost her fear, and now hops into the car without hesitation. She loves playing with a ball and is great at retrieving it – when Coco doesn’t steal it first. Pip is very affectionate and loves nothing more than to sit quietly beside you in the evening.
Today Pip was with us a week so we felt that she knew us well enough to let her off the lead on the walk in a safe open area. Pip thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to run and chase with Coco, but never let us out of her sight – her recall was perfect ! She loved meeting other dogs.
