FROM TOTOS FAMILY:
I cant believe it has only been a little over a week since we became a family again, it seems Toto has been here for ever and yet we are still finding out his funny ways. Himself and Eugene are in unison on the snoring ,its so funny. Toto has discovered rabbit’s O YES, RABBIT’S ,its so funny. We were on one of his favourite walks,we went a little further along and I could see them disappearing into the furs on front of us as we walked, suddenly he got the sent and he was gone, he was like a tracker dog nose to the ground. He wasn’t to know that the name tag we got for him jingle’s as he moves so every rabbit with good hearing is long gone into hiding but it keeps him amused for ages and he thinks he is great.
He does the funniest thing when ever he is over excited he runs around like a tasmanian devil from the sitting room to the kitchen about 5-6 times jumps onto his bed in the dining room jumps off goes under it and starts it all over again its so funny.
I washed him the other night and had a heated towel to dry him off he loved it, then it turns into a game again of tug of war with the towel, he gets over excited and out comes the tasmanian devil, mad isn’t it. 5 minutes later and he is in between the two of us on the couch fast asleep. I think he has discovered his inner puppy and relieving his youth.
We went over to the our vet on saturday to introduce Toto to them, they had taken the first day off together since opening years ago and had a locum, just our luck, so she gave him a worm dose and check up, we will go again to see them and show our second son Toto the apple of our eyes.
We will keep in touch and let you know all that is going on down here.
thanks again for all you all do,
it is very much appreciated, and thanks again for our bundle of joy,
he makes every day a joy to behold.
sincerely Denise and Eugene and not forgetting Toto…

FROM ZUCCOS (HENRY) NEW FAMILY:
Hello everyone at DID, we are Henry’s new ‘parents’, just to let you all know how well he is settling in down here in the country. He gets up promptly at 7.45 so there is no longer a ‘lie in’ for us. However, he is absolutely no trouble in the house, he sleeps all night long and doesn’t call out. His appetite is good and he loves playing with his squeaky ball, (all day if possible).
He is very lovable and has beautiful brown eyes and two gorgeous girl friends living either side of him. He is very intrigued by cattle and his little ears perk up when he sees them going down for milking. Cats I don’t think he is very keen on, we were in the car yesterday on our way down to Woodstock Gardens when he spotted a cat and tried to get out of the car!! He is very good indeed in the car and sits happily on a lap, not keen on the back seat however. We are all getting on very well and the neighbours think he is gorgeous.
Our thanks to Lydia and Barry, they have obviously done a wonderful job in fostering this little chap, I know they really loved him. We love him to and wish everyone well in the wonderful rescue work you do.
Warmest good wishes from Maureen and Pierce.
FROM HARPERS FOSTER MAMMY:
It was with great sadness and happiness that we bade farewell to our friend Harper last night. We got to know and love him very much in the time we fostered him, but we always knew that one day he would be going to his forever family.
The family collected him and amid the giggles and cheers he went off to Wicklow sitting between the children like a Prince. He behaved very well and the little boy of seven was able to lead him around the back garden and then out to the car.I hope to hear from family and all the fun things they will do. GOOD LUCK to family and Harper. Marie ![]()
