From Bakers new family
Just a few lines to let you all know how our little family are getting on. We said Jake was used to his name in foster care so Jake he is
.
He is a little dote, I did a little research and Jake is a cross between a Jack /Petterdale, OMY GOD HAVE THEY GOT HIM NAILED! I may get a whistle to warn the rabbits this guy is coming. He picked up the scent straight away. Yesterday was the first day I had him off lead for a few minutes with no horses and sheep near us. They both took off into the bushes and Toto came back but your man was on a scent, I got him back eventually.
Today was much better there were no sheep or horses and I had them away from the rabbits so he and Toto played chasing and had a great time. he came back better today and loved his freedom.
If you read the description of the two breeds, they say can be dominant and you have to be alfa male from the start, they need to have lots of fast walks, they say chilled out at home and mad to go when out and that they were used to go underground , fox and badger".
The two of them are past out cold after there long walk and play, Belinda did a great job with him before I got him and I would say that is why he is so well rounded, thanks to you all for all you do.
He is soooo cuddly and willing to please I cant understand why he wasn’t snapped up, the fun the two have playing in and out of the house. We all sleep in our room Jake is beside me on a bed made of a king size quilt folded in to a 1/4 and a soft blanket over that, we tried the four in a bed but Eugene didn’t get a look in and I had a dog beside me with his head on my arm and one the other side with the head on the pillow. so we had to compromise.
When Eugene goes out to work he lets them out if they want to or he puts Jake beside me and we have a sleep till Toto gets bored about 8.30 and it all kicks off again.
Have to go now two dogs think this is taking too long, both up on my lap now, aAAA THEY ARE KISSING ME AND ONE ANOTHER HOW CUTE, WILL END NOW FINDING IT HARD TO CONTINUE WITH THEM ,will keep you all up dated, again thanks for all ye do.
Denise.
