Fingers x for Hailey ![]()
Myself and Kim met Lucky today and he is a credit to Jen
He has already learnt basic manners and I know with all Jens hard work he will learn to be a happy, well adjusted little man. He is slowly learning that his days of spending 24/7 out the back are gone and that it is normal to be walked everyday and be part of a family
Well done Jen ![]()

This is an update email on my DID family member. I adopted Milo aka “Brooklyn”
last February 13th 2010. He is was a young Beagle/Cavalier King Charles x.
I love him so much, beyond words. He became great friends with my now 3 year old
Beagle/Springer Asha. They are so different in size but he rules the roost. He’s
a terrible toy thief, he hides them by sitting on them or shoving under his
blanket. They both have their own cozy beds in the house but every night he ends
up curled up with Asha in hers, I honestly don’t know what they would do without
each other. They do everything together and I have never seen Asha happier.
He has really grown up, he’s a little bigger than when I adopted him but he was
1 back in October so I think he’s at his adult size now. He loves to protect his
space, his routine in the morning is to patrol around the garden, head & tail
high, and growls at the birds.
He is not a fan of other animals though, as I found out when I took him to a
park with ducks & swans. Good thing he was on the extendable lead because he
took off like a bat out of hell! He also hates cats. I don’t blame him though
because the neighbourhood cats seem to have made it their life mission to drive
him mad. They sit on the fence, just out of his reach and dangle their paws,
drives him crazy.
He loves his walks in the park and the occasional time we go to the beach is
heaven for him, he loves to chase away the seagulls and waves.
Milo needs his love and cuddles, he’s a very loving, tactile dog. Once he’s on
your lap he’s the happiest, falls right to sleep. In the summer, Asha hides in
the coolest part of the house but you will always find Milo stretched out on the
deck in the hottest part, sunning himself. He’s a real sun hound.
His favourite toys are balls (bouncy, squeaky, soft you name it!) He fetches and
retrieves until he wears himself (or you) out. His current favourite though is a
racoon dog toy, brings it everywhere with him, it’s like his blanky!
He wasn’t too impressed with our insane snow last year, especially when he
needed to go to the toilet but when it wasn’t too cold he liked to play in it
and eat snowballs.
I could go on for pages talking about him but I just want to sum up that he is I could go on for pages talking about him but I just want to sum up that he is
the very best boy and I love him dearly. He was the perfect fit for my family
and I don’t know what I would do without him. I have attached some photos for
you to have a look.
Thanks again to everyone at DID for rescuing Brooklyn and delivering Milo into
my life.
