From Mels foster mum
Mel has settled right in. After just a few hours she had adapted her behaviour to whatever the other dogs were doing at any given time.
She goes to the loo every time I take her outside and apart from the kennel cough seems to be a happy healthy girl.
She swings quickly between playful explosions of energy to drop-on-the-spot knackered! I removed all our dogs prized possessions and replaced with new communal tug toys, as you can see, it’s worked a treat!! Short walks on the harness are perfect, she saunters daintily and is content to follow the other two. Shes very alert and responsive so much so that i am happy to say she seems to have handled her previous situation with amazing resilience. ive never seen a happier dog from the pound! Amazing girl. I am in love.
Thank you to Emmiline from Caninecitizen for advice on first introductions, my two are not the most welcoming to outsiders usually, but all went smoothly and now Nell can relax in a non stressful environment, although all she wants is PLAY sleep PLAY sleep PLAY sleep !!!mel5.JPG

Please also say a prayer for this beautiful girl…again thanks to the fantastic care of her foster mum, who saw that she wasn’t 100%….she may have an underlying heart condition…she has been on heart medication but they haven’t helped and she has to get a heart x-ray on Weds ![]()
