This beauty continues to thrive. She is great with other dogs, doing well on toilet training and is waiting patiently for her forever family :D

From Brittanys foster mum Laura :D

Brittany is extremely shy, she’s scared of sheets moving on the line and if you walk in front of her without crouching down to her . Even though she trusts us and she loves us she always needs reassurance and if you give her some cuddles she doesn’t want you to stop she will search for your hands.

    She is a real sweetheart.
She is a bit scared of children but she loves another dog as she needs guidance from him/her.

She is Stellas shadow and won’t go for a walk without her even though she gets so excited about walks , she put her two paws in the harness herself, it’s hilarious .

Little update on Mel from her foster mum Cathy :D ,

She likes a run morning & evening. Also she would only suit a house with another sturdy dog as she likes to play and is a big girl.

She’s grown very comfortable with routine. The morning is 7am jump in bed with us and sleep with head on pillow (I know, spoiled!). Then downstairs for a lounge on sofa patiently till walkies. She’s terrific in the car and quiet as a mouse. She loves to swim, I keep her on the lead unless we’re in an enclosed area as her recall is slow, she knows her name but loves her freedom too much to come running back. Also she is easily spooked (kites, things in trees, tractors) and will run away and keep running.. Very scary, so I stick to closed fields still.

She’s amazing, amazing with children, cats, my mums chihuauas. I play with her and let her put her jaws around my face, feet and arms, she’s a gentle girl but would knock you over if your in the way, she’s big and fast and young!!
    Xx

    From Ali’s foster mum :D

Little Ali is a pleasure to have here sharing our home. She is sweet and adorable and she really has no fault at all. She is terrific for eating and at the moment she is on two meals a day as she was very very thin. She loves her walk and is very good on the lead. We have great games in the garden, she loves running around playing games.
She was timid and jumpy the first few days here, but now is settled and loves her cuddles and tickles. She is just beautiful and we love her more every day.

From Trundle (now Bas) family :D

Here an update on Trundle, now called Bas (short for Sebastiaan) a Dutch name.
The day after we got Bas from the pound, he was neutered. It turned out that one of his testicles was enormous swollen while the other was very small. In combination with a swollen prostate, swollen nipples and hairloss all over his body, the vet was quite sure he was over producing estrogen. He has been on various meds but is now medicine free. His hair is start to grow back in certain areas. Not sure if it will come back every where but that is not very important.
Bas is still over excited with other dogs. Not sure if that is because of the hormonal imbalance or just behaviour. We are working on that and he has a room for himself because we can’t mix him yet with our other 3 dogs. We walk him at least 3 times a day and he is getting fitter.
His hindlegs and lower body are very weak. But that will improve too in time. So far our priorities are to get him fit and to get him better with other dogs so he can go off the lead and later be mixed with our other dogs.
Regarding his hips: he is not in pain and improving slowly so we decided to wait with x-rays etcetera till: or he is fitter or if he is getting worse/in pain.

Pff that is the medical part.
He is a lovely dog, well behaved with people and very easy going. We love him to bits and have him now lead trained. He is a dote to walk, untill you meet other dogs bu we are getting there! We have the feeling that it will be ok in time and we have the time.
He loves to be scratched on his chest and will guide your hand there. So sweet. He was in a lot of pain when we got him but still he let me handle/touch him. He is a real man’s dog and he has a preference for my partner Jack. Still we make sure that we both ‘work’ with him and I am the one who feeds him to prevent problems later.
    We are delighted with him!!!

Thank you for helping us to get him!
