What is the formula Shelly you are getting younger looking every year
Great photo………. I survived the dreaded nail clipping.[/quote:11g70flc]Thanks for the lovely comment.
Lol! She’s still running around like a lunatic, and acting like a pup!
If her age was correct when we got her that makes her 12 now or 84 in dog years! I want whatever she’s having!!Oh she really does hate her nails being clipped, but she gets over it pretty quickly
k9sMemberShelly its so good to see how well you are still doing ….I remember collecting you and how scared you were….you fell on four lucky paws with your forever family[/quote:ml4gy6kf]
Awe! Thanks so much. I put the photos up for you and the people who were involved in her fostering in the early days so that you can see that ye make a big difference to peoples lives by doing the fostering.
Keep up the good work
k9sMemberHappy photo…thank you…it is great to see her looking so well [/quote:r853bqgz]
Awe thanks You do such great work, and I thought that it might be nice to be reminded of the happy endings sometimes when you see so many sad cases.
She got her nails done today which wiped the smile off her face until we got home and she got a bone, and she once again looked like this!!
She’s pretty low maintenance
k9sMemberThanks so much
k9sMemberHi all,
4 years on and Molly/Shelley is still with us bringing joy to our lives. I thought I’d upload a photo taken today of her enjoying the sunshine.
A Dogs Life.JPGk9sMemberWell this little chap is definitely a Happy Chappie! He’s full of love and fun, and bounds around the garden chasing after a plastic bottle. He has loads of energy, but will settle down once the "pack" are together and snooze quietly.
Everything is new to him, and you’ll often see him tilt his head sideways in an inquisitive manner if he sees or hears something he hasn’t seen before! Yesterday is was police sirens on the tv!! Very funny.
He doesn’t like being on his own, but gets on very well with other dogs. Even Molly the Collie deigns to like him even though she normally loathes the presence of other dogs!
He would make an excellent companion for someone who’s home a good bit, or for someone thinking of getting a second dog.
Chappie.jpgk9sMemberWow! I’m delighted to see the updated photos. She was so fragile when she came to DiD. It’s fantastic to see her filled out to a healthy weight, and looking so happy, and very festive along with her pal in reindeer outfits.
k9sMemberThanks Rory really is a lovely dog, and like you say HAPPY and FUN are the best word to describe him. You can’t help but smile when Rory is around.
As for Molly… She usually ignores, or hides from other dogs, but she actually condescends to tolerate Rory which says alot!!
k9sMemberThanks Emma. If you hadn’t fostered her, she wouldn’t have come to us I will give her lots of pats for you She’s plonked at my feet as I type I’ll upload a few pictures of her every so often so you can keep track of her. It’s amazing how attached you get to them even after a short time of foster care.

Combo-03.jpgk9sMemberRory has been with us for almost a week now. He is a happy, affectionate, playful, loving, and very cheerful chappy. He has boundless energy, but settles down in the evenings and relaxes. He is very easy to walk, and is not aggressive with other dogs, but is willing to play with anyone. He is great with children, and is very tolerant of being chased around the garden!
He is still only a pup, and is not fully trained yet, but he does respond well, and quickly to training. He is excellent at climbing though, so anything chewable, or edible needs to be kept well out of reach until he is fully trained.
I’ve included a few photos of him. The other dog in some of the photos is Shelly (a.k.a. Molly), who is a Dogs in Distress rescue dog
herself. As it is a year ago this month since she came to us, I’m going to upload a few updated photos of her in the "Happy Endings" section Page 16 for anyone interested.k9sMemberMore photos…

k9sMemberAwe Thanks Mutley. I had great fun making the video. She’s a real character. She’s plonked herself down at my feet as I type!! We sign for her today I think, so it’s very exciting
