Finally some more recent pics of Kibbles – here on the beach in Cork and relaxing with relatives on the same Cork visit. He’s doing just brilliantly with us, recall and sit and giving the paw all cracked! And really lovely with the kids – now if we can stop him chewing everything that isn’t nailed down in the house it’ll be all good! These pics are from about a month ago and he’s actually grown a good bit since then – definitely a medium size dog now! Hopefully we’ll post some more pics soon! Thanks again for this great addition to our family!

Posing!.jpgJonathanandSarahMemberJust an update on Kibbles. I am so bad at figuring out the picture thing so pics may take some time
It is hard to believe that he has been here only two weeks. he feels like he has always been here and anyone who visits comments on what a lovely manner he has. now there are moments of puppy madness but sure that is half the crack. He has adopted a toy loughness monster and a rabbit that he flings from one end of the garden to the other to the delight of the girls and their friend. Last Saturday my sister arrived with her two girls and all five ran the legs off each other and all slept soundly. even the sis( who is a cat person) was very taken with him as he lay on her lap looking for love and cuddles with the big brown eyes.
He is eating all around him and has realised that under poppy’s seat is a profitable place to sit at meal times. he is chewing a bit – a pair of shoes, my recharger cable , pencils and pens but if we give him a good chew like a pigs ear or the like, he doesn’t chew the place down.
he is sooo bright- we have sit down, still need to do a bit of lead work and road sence ( none) so hope to get down to purrfect pets for some training.
he is very lonely after the other dogs in Susan’s but has made a few dog buddies and has a ‘play date’ for Sunday with a lovely blond lab. And there is going to be a new pup into our extended family come this weekend so when she is a bit bigger he’ll have two ladies to pal around with.
Sadly there are three older dogs on our road who haven’t the time or energy to deal with his ‘come play with me’ bounce. but a beagal called baxter who we meet on our walks is great for a bit of rough and tumble.
Dying to let him off the lead to play but not there yet but soon I hope.
thanks again all and will update soon
best
SJRP and KJonathanandSarahMemberThank you Susan for taking care of this little man for us. what a little gem! we are soo proud, soo delighted and soo in love with Kibbles. A diamond dog and Susan’s care is apparent. He slept through his first night and the 7 year old is giving him a run for his money in the energy stakes. he is so careful and gentle with Poppy our daughter with specials need and met her friend today and showed his clever intuition ( his trademark) by being calm and careful in his approach. the couch is his but given happily!
thank you Dogs in distress. Will post pics soon.
XsJonathanandSarahMemberso delighted to see the reserve sign go up on Kerry.
What a lovely dog and so happy that she is going off to the home she deserves. so sad to think of the dogs like her who don’t get this kind of chance through no fault of their own
another success for dogs in distress
