Just a quick update… Annabelle is so much fun to have in the house and really who ever homes my baby will be blessed with daily laughter and cuddles from her. Last nite after 3 attempts opened the bathroom door while i was in shower then licked me dry i presume as a pressie roll on shower number 2- with door locked!! While my sister been treating her to long walks in the morn 2 dogs have aggressively gone for her and she just backs off and hasnt even shown her teeth back.. its like she takes it personally and gets upset they dont like her! Our last foster wiggles buried his treats and she discovered a few yesterday to her amusement and the garden has few extra drainage holes thanx Belle! She desperately pines for a doggie friend and even tho my sister been walking her with other doggies she would adore someone to curl up with in bed or play in the garden with She looks so jealous of the dogs running free on the beach and sulks in bed after her walks. She is literally built with a heart of gold and looks at life with such innocence!
jojo20MemberAw well done with Belinda… i have a massive soft spot for this lady! My heart broke for her in the pound, she must think your an angel in disguise!!! Cant wait for the pics!
jojo20MemberHi if you fill out the adoption form one of the fab admin staff will organise you a homevisit by one of the also fab volunteers The quicker that done and passed the quicker you can meet the a dog in fostercare. There can be multiple applications on each dog and the experienced team will match the most suitable home for each individual dogs needs! Good Luck
jojo20MemberGood luck wit your application and keep us posted. Poor Brian has been a long time in pound and if you are successful in having him join your family.. let us know!
jojo20MemberWow he is a handsome boy Like Annabelle she never had be taught to let us know she needed the loo so would just squat when it suited but since last sun, Tara an animal behaviourist, told us that every time she went outside we ‘in a happy squeeky’ voice said the word ‘toilets’ over and over when she mid flow she would associate the word wit the action, add a treat at the end. I can happily report we have had no accidents even at nite!!! So defo worth a try if it suits your household. Now when she looks restless we say ‘toilets’ and if she needs it she runs to the door.
I look forward to seein Stryders updates he is just so striking looking?! Well done.jojo20MemberIt is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (closes 1pm to 2pm for lunch). It opens from 10am to 12pm on Saturdays on Sunday.

Good Luck!jojo20MemberIf you go to the pound you can adopt from there as she not under the care of Dogs in Distress. The pound will process your from directly. Maybe after ya fill it out, you could walk her round the feild and have a cuddle
jojo20MemberAw thanx… she really is such a comic! I have to take a few more pics tonight and il stick some up. All the ones i have is of her snoozing.. she like a nap-girl after my own heart I need some of her alert and playing.
jojo20MemberIm so in love wit Belle… The family who end up with her will be so lucky. She is just a dote. Yesterday she got brave enough to climb the stairs and popped her head round bedroom door looking coy but then not brave enough to go back down them… not easy task carrying 4st dog She has had NO accidents on floor last few days and nites! And last nite walked on a nice long loose lead for me! She really needs a bit of guidance from a confident dog but not one who would bully her cos she a timid thing deep down. Once she spayed i plan on trying doggie day care cos id say she will adore it and is so firendly to everydog she meets. A cocker showed her his teeth on the coast road the other day and he received a big fat paw on the head to either play or go-away She is so calm in the evenings in her bed and has put few lbs on and looks great. She needs a home that has medium activity levels and who will include her in everyday life she hates bein alone Her forever home must have a dog for company and no kids under 12yrs as she has could knock them down! She needs a small ammount of training wit stay/leave etc but she fast learner and just needs routine in her day!
jojo20Memberaww so happy the poor fella deserves it after all he been thro. and well done to you for getting him back to himself. He looks lovely in his snaps.
jojo20MemberOh its so hard when sleep is getting broken, i feel your pain! Sometimes instead of getting better they get more confident and become more vocal Believe me i know after a few nites on couch beside dog bed just to grab a few hrs sleep.
At the DID Talk this lady gave advice on some behaviours and she is so helpful iv already emailed her. So give Tara a try for best advice.

jojo20MemberJust an update on my ‘belle’…She is slowly starying to show her personality and ran in the garden for the first time at weekend, she looked like Forest Gump braking loose of the leg braces:lol: She got so excited she slipped and smashed the plant pot and before i even opened my mouth she had ran back to bed and looked at me as if to say sorry Bless! On her walks she is so good, friendly to every dog no matter size shape or gender! She pulls a little to sniff trees etc but nothing that wont be rectified with practice. She has no aggression to cats she just wants to stand and stare then when they hiss at her she just blows her nose in gest and trots off. She has yet to try the stairs except with back feet firmly on bottom step she streches up about 5 steps like a star but wont go any further! We had workmen in house and she never batted an eyelid at them and they were in and out every few mins, the only thing she has grunted at is her reflection in the glass in the evenings Pics to follow later!
jojo20MemberAw thats great to hear she getting out. My friend donated a red tartan coat to Belinda make sure it goes with her when she leaves. I put it on her last weekend
jojo20MemberHow is poor Belinda? I dont think il make the pound this weekend but i was saving a special cuddle for this lady so hope someone else will do it for me! She is so sweet i can imagine her curled up at someones feet watchin the tv together. Would make a great companion!
jojo20MemberI am proud as punch today!!! Wit anticipation i opened kitchen door this morn to find NO accidents during nite! I even had to wake her up the sleepy head So as a treat my sister caroline has taken her to the castle for a ramble! We had a small walk bout 10pm last nite and she met a miniture collie male and we had lovely friendly greeting until the mini collie sniffed her side without warning and she got such a fright she hide behine me.
Annabelle is such a beautiful, gentle girl that any house would be lucky to have her. -
