I love reading the up-dates about this superb little dog. The most recent image is really funny. Is there a trick of the light going on, or has she developed a brown tail? Maybe she got a fox toy from Santa and she is lying on top of it? Whatever it is – made me laugh when I saw the photo:lol:
I imagine she would be a good midi-agility dog or would love to learn tricks
. I hope you don’t object Willow but I would like to take the opportunity to wish a very happy new year to all connected to the very great Dogs in Distress, especially all the dogs
.
Still a little cracker I see
What a great photo of all the dogs sitting in front of their dishes of food but checking out all the other dogs’ food, apart from the Golden Lab who is being a very good dog and looking at the person who is going to say ‘go’ or maybe hit a big dinner gong

She has the smiley mouth of a very happy dog ![]()
Superb

What a busy dog you are Velvet. Doing the laundry, testing the comfort of the back of the ‘dog bed’ while waiting for Santa. Deciding to give up your place on that lovely ‘dog bed’ for your human to sit beside the rest of the pack for the photo session. Hope she doesn’t think she can just get on all the furniture now:lol:
. Looking good Velvet, keep up the good work ![]()
What a handsome dog, your father must be very proud of him, I would be. You will never forget him, he will always be part of your family, try to remember the good times and take heart from the fact you cared for him as he deserved.
Couldn’t agree more with your comments. The greatest honour you can give a departed pet is to allow another needy animal to join you. Its never a replacement, how could it be? I am so happy you found each other ![]()
Thank you for that superb up-date – it was well worth waiting for
. You have painted a great picture in words about this splendid little dog. Love the photo of Tia with her new buddy. Sounds like she will be having a great time under your care and obviously loved all the country smells she found or should I say tracked ![]()
That is one of the best Christmas cards I have seen, well done Kenny. I wonder what Santa will bring you as you appear to want for nothing
. It’s nice when your dreams come true. I have everything crossed for all the dogs under URGENT
, I hope they get out of the pound as soon as possible.
A mixed result indeed but its still early days. We have to remember just how seriously ill Velvet was and any improvement is great. I hope the drugs help and as far as having your own exercise regime – well, that takes you to diva level Velvet
I continue to keep everything crossed for you and also send best wishes to your foster mother ![]()
What were you doing to make you so tired Willow
? You look very relaxed
. Any news on your day to day activities? ![]()
Oh, what a dear little soul you are. That is a lovely jumper Dinky. Nice to sse you sitting there is your sheepskin bed beside the cooker. You are being treated like royalty, just as you and all the other animals deserve
.
Love the photo of Twinkle snuggling into her person. I would say enjoy your new life Twinkle but its really a continuation of your normal life. I am so happy your foster family made such a good decision
, it would have been difficult to find a better dog. I look forward to hearing about your adventures now and again ![]()
Hello Audrey. I collect stamps and all I know, there has to be a very wide margin around the stamp. Whoever gets them ready for whatever happens to them, trims the surround to an appropriate size. I have no idea what that size/margin is and don’t know what charities do with the stamps but am in the process of collecting anything and everything stamp-like. The current lot due to go to German Shepherd Rescue, Scotland. The important bit of this message is the WIDE MARGIN around the stamp. On a totally different subject – great news about Twinkle and always nice to read positive things about Velvet. I am on the trail of Willow now!!! All gone a bit quiet there but my stalking head is back on
).
Great news for two of my favourite (of the many) dogs on this site. Looking good Velvet
. Fancy getting an ‘over seas’ specialist visiting you – bet they are excited
Twinkle now officially at home is the other half of the great news
. I can fall into bed with very happy thoughts dancing around in my tiny mind ![]()
