MemberLovely pictures. Holly is a lucky little dog to have found her way to you but she deserves it after her recent life.

MemberThank you so much for the up-date on Holly, it has warmed my heart. To know she is safe, cared for and WANTED is just wonderful. The sausage maybe wasn’t the best idea Holly but I bet you enjoyed it!

MemberHow is the lovely Holly getting along?

MemberThis is the expression Nellabi has on her face when she realises she IS expected to go outside for toilet duties. Not happy but I can’t blame her, we have about 18-20 inches of snow and the people who know Nells will know that she is half that size and she does feel the cold. Cassie dashes out, does what she has to do and races back in, elderly GSD rushes out and will not come back in and the Border Terrier tip-toes to where the snow is at it least and sits there barking and will not come in. They are not getting out for walks because everywhere is covered in ice and snow and is very, very slippy. If the dogs started running gooness knows where we would end up. I should be back at work now but can’t get the car out, so we are all getting a bit ‘stir-crazy’. Nells bells get a ball and walks about so proudly with it, she lets us look at her prize but she will not give it up, EVERYONE who has met her thinks she is wonderful and indeed she is. I still can’t believe she landed in the pound but am very grateful to the people who didn’t turn up to get her, I really should thank them. I hope Izzie (the GSD) gets out soon, has she got a home or is she going to another rescue? Lovely dog.

MemberWith her forever family, I am so delighted for her. She still looks a bit poorly but she will make great strides now that she has found her way to her very own family. Very best wishes to you and your family Holly, just wait until you are back to full health – enjoy your new life and we hope to hear from you now and again.

MemberRobyn could be a close relative of Nellabi, slightly more hairy but very similar. Its weird that there seemed to be a bit of dumping of Patterdale type dogs. They are fantastic dogs and I can say that in total confidence, the Nells bells is superb!

MemberYipppeeee for Holly. I khow she will enjoy her new (and her very own) fluffy bed and the special care and attention she will get from her foster family. What a new world is about to open up for Holly, how I wish she knew she is now safe and could enjoy it from now – she will soon realise. Be good Holly, I know you will.
Indianna
MemberShe seems to be about the same size and weight as Nells bells, they would either be great buddies or would try to kill each other. Oh, I would love to but wouldn’t dare!!!
Indianna
MemberYour heart is in the right place and you are trying. Little Holly is lucky to have you and the DID team behind her.

MemberBoiled white fish, chicken, pasta and white rice (boiled to death) are the usual offerings when dogs are ready to start eating. She may not want to eat antying yet. As soon as she can keep water down I would try and get her home then try tiny offerings when she looks like she might be interested. I am no expert, just have a dog (GSD) with a RUBBISH digestive system and we (vet and myself) have nursed her through various stomach upsets over the last 12 years. Sometimes she wasn’t interested in food for 3-4 days – that used to worry me but the vet’s advice was not to push it in case it made her vomit and that fluid was far more important than food. Keep your chin up Holly, I am thinking of you and I am sure you will get better eventually.

MemberJust watched Fearless ‘taking care of things’, by jings she really isn’t afraid of anything is she? Super little dog, wish we had the room!

MemberDearest Holly
Now that Kenny seems to be on the road to recovery and has fallen foul of his fosterer’s cat (Kenny, what were you thinking?) I now send you all my good thoughts for a speedy recovery. You are in the right place for getting better, being on an intravenous drip is a great thing when you feel so poorly. Get well, get well, get well, 2010 and onwards will be a total turnaround for you.
Indianna
MemberHolly, sending half of Kenny’s ‘get well’ vibes to you. You need to get well again so you can experience a nice, warm, well fed and cared for life, you deserve nothing less. We all want to see you in perfect health, rest and get well.
Indianna
MemberPoor Kenny, you will get better eventually but you probably still feel pretty awful. Now that little Elsie is back on her paws and more importantly back home I will send all my "get well very soon" vibes to you.

MemberGreat to see the Fearless Fairy/Elsie/Pixie back home. One of our JRTs (sadly no longer with us) used to behave exactly as you described Pixie leaving the vet surgery, but when she settled in with us she turned out to be the sweetest little dog. She welcomed various other dogs into the family during her 15 years with us. She and Pixie were very similar size- and character-wise which probably explains my interest in Pixie/Elsie. Oh, if only we had the room but Nellie has taken up the vacant space we had in our lives and is doing a grand job. I look forward to hearing about Pixie’s/Elsie’s exploits.
