MemberMight be double the anything. Elsie is probably twice the dog of most others to start with, so who knows.

MemberTwo crazy dogs together, mmm, double the noise, double the mayhem, double world domination!!!

MemberThanks Fayres – all systems go now. She had a complete maddo in the garden this morning, round and round she went at full speed. The more I read about Pixie the more convinced she and Nells bells have been cut from the same cloth.

MemberAnother lovely photograph and very well done Ellie, you suit your rosette, first of many I have no doubt. Your mother must be as fit as a flea with all the running around she does, I think she should have a rosette too. Elsie also looks very pleased for her big sister’s success. Well done.

MemberOh, what lovely photos of your canine family,
when did Pixie learn to use a laptop ? Poor Ellie is doing her very best to get in on the act, isn’t she? No sign of the canine cat though, is she/he making tea in the kitchen? Stitches out for Nellabi today and I have to say for the first time she was LAST out of bed this morning and has now gone back to bed. The rest of the mutts are here in the livingroom with me, sharing toast. Has Pixie managed to get round all the agility equipment yet? Will you compete in mini agility with her? I am sure she would LOVE to perform in front of people, she is great, she knows she is great and definately has a fan club. Thank you for keeping us posted, it quite makes my day, especially after reading about the pup now In Memory, very sad news, great pity that little soul didn’t get cared for by the idiots who bred that litter of pups
. THEY clearly don’t care, thank goodness for the people who do!

MemberNice to know she is on the right road and I am pleased she has managed to stay quite healthy, barring the kennel cough, after her stay in the pound. Bet she can’t believe her luck to have landed in a nice warm home with good caring people. Lovely, sweet little dog.

MemberWell, tonight was the start of dog training and I took Nellabi along really just to book in and pay for the course. Norma (dog trainer) slapped both hands to her face and said, "what have you done to my boy". She thinks Nells is the bees knees and we managed to do the whole class and Nellabi was very good. Manages to sit for about 3 seconds, wouldn’t lie down, trotted round to heel and was very friendly with all the other dogs in the class. What a good dog she is, I was very proud of her. We all know what we have to be able to do for next week (homework) so lots of practise coming up. Nells gets her 3 little stitches out this Monday, the wound looks great and bless her little paws she has left it alone and wasn’t inflicted with a Buster collar. The other 3 dogs were very keen to check her out when we got home and she seemed very pleased to see them too, all in all a very good day and well done Nells bells.

MemberI love Pixie’s up-dates. I can picture her tearing about with her ball on a rope toy and the growling away to herself made me smile. My BT runs around at 10.00ish most nights, only last for 5 minutes or so. I often hear my father saying to him, as Dudley rushes round his chair before running out the room, "are you having your mad turn". I bet Pixie will be great at agility, she is a fantastic little dog. My agility equipment consists of the hoop, sadly that is it. I had some plastic milk cartons as ‘weaving poles’ but they are all frozen solid and will be heading for the bin when they thaw out, they never really worked that well as weaving poles. Our dog training club starts again tonight and I don’t know whether I should take Nells along to meet everyone as she still has her stitches in place but they come out next Monday. She is such a sweet little dog, doesn’t like the cold, she looks out the door, sees the snow and runs back in again. I had to go and lift her off the bed this morning and go out with her but she is so happy to get back in again and is now back in bed all tucked up, warm and cosy. Pixie is a grand little dog and I don’t know why, but she has very special place in my heart. She was very lucky to have been taken in by good people, Fayres, you are exactly what she needs. I continue to enjoy reading about her life from afar, I wish it wasn’t so far but it is.

MemberHow is the beautiful little Brianna getting along in her foster home? Lovely photos of her, she looks really sweet, I really hope she managed to miss all the infections going round the pound.

MemberNellabi is whizzing around as normal, you would never know she had surgery last Friday – she hasn’t missed a beat. The thing with her jumping that has surprised us the most is there is no apparent effort in her jumps, she just suddenly rises vertically, most dogs crouch then leap. We were in the garden last week, before her surgery and a bird flew across heading for the feeder, she saw it, leapt up, almost caught it but thankfully it managed to get away. Like Cassie (Cassidy) I really can’t find fault with Nells and I am very lucky to have had these two spectacular dogs join the family. EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has met Nellabi would ALL give her a home, think she is lovely and are stunned regarding her dog pound connection. Cassie is doing well on her drugs for her liver and kidney problems, poor dog. We knew quite quickly that she had major health problems but she only needed to start drug treatment last December. She remains happy, eating, keen to go for walks and you would never know she had such major health issues. No-one knows how long she has but while she is happy we are happy. The vet said it could be a couple of weeks, couple of months or several months. Well, we have pretty much cracked the couple of months so I am hoping for many more months yet.

MemberUp-date on Nellabi. She has jumped on and off the dining room table about 7 times over the weekend. We have tried to keep her quiet but the second I leave the room she is on the table so I now have to shut her and the two old girls in my room if I go out. She raced round the garden yesterday – like a small missile – leaping the borders between the paths and the grass! Her wound continues to look good, even after all the activity and she is back to the vet today for post-surgery check-up and stitches out next Monday. I will tell them what she has been up to and they can try talking to her, she certainly wouldn’t listen to us.

MemberNellabi slept all night, has had breakfast and out to the garden to perform all bodily functions. Delighted to report all seems well.

MemberWe are home. Nellabi is circling the kitchen because the chicken is cooking and Dudley is sitting beside his grandad whining because he also wants fed. The nurse who discharged the dogs said to me "how geogeous is she, did you really get her out of a pound". She really couldn’t believe that Nellabi landed in a pound, unwanted. Nells in now SITTING on her grandad’s knee getting petted. She goes back to the vet on Monday for post-surgery check and stitches out in 10 days, so a week on Thursday. I will get them all (the old girls are looking at me as though I have lost my mind and forgotten to feed them), fed shortly and then hopefully they will go off to sleep, or not! I have the feeling Nellabi is going to follow the same road as Pixie (Elsie) and just get on with things. Glad today is over. Thank you for the good wishes Fayres, I hope Pixie (Fearless, sorry but I love that) is continuing to do well.

MemberWell, today is the day Nellabi went to be spayed. I called at 2.30 to find out how she and Dudley (he went for a dental) were. Both have recovered, all is well, spay was routine, no complications at all and they are both ready for home. I will collect them after work (I will go via the supermarket to buy some chicken for them – to say sorry!!!). I am happy that bit of Nell’s life is now over with, just need a couple of weeks and stitches out then its all systems go – dog training for the little soul – I think she will LOVE it. I will up-date again in the next few days.

MemberShe is such a pretty little dog and I am sooooooooooooo happy she is out of the pound. I wish she knew she is now safely under the care of good people and the DID team, at least her dark days are over. I am sure she will not be waiting too long for her very own home, or has she already found it? I look forward to hearing how she is getting along, she really is lovely and they are super photos.
