Meg has been in my care since before Christmas, and what a lovely time she had with my two dogs & family. Luckily, Meg is already toilet trained & has never had an accident.
All Meg wants is to be loved. She gets on with everyone, and would love nothing better than to sit on my knee all night. However, I am training Meg to sit at my feet, as she is very protective & has obviously had a rocky start in life.
This little sweetheart will make a fabulous pet if you are looking for a loyal, affectionate, clever companion.
Previous experience with JRTs would be good, but not essential. If you were to choose to give Meg a chance, she will need some initial reassurance, as she took a while to stop being nervous, at least a week to settle.

In my experience little Meggie had been friendly with children, adults & other dogs. She has a big dogs bark, but no real aggression.

Currently, she is recovering & resting after being neutered & enjoys her privacy in her crate. She sleeps quietly through the night, eats great, and loves the odd walk on the lead. I have let her off the lead on our enclosed green & she is so fast a runner, she will speed after the ball & bring it back.

I would be happy to talk to anyone interested in homing Meg, about my foster experience with her.

She will be ready to go to her new home very soon.

Please give Meg a chance. She is a teeny girl, who just needs someone who us willing to give her some time, which in return she will love you forever.

Quick update on little Harley. He is doing very well on his training, as I decided a little crate training might help :) He seems to really like the privacy, and now settles much better for a nap. With 2 other dogs, he was constantly on the go, so that has helped with the toilet training & now is virtually trained.
Harley, has been out on the extendable lead and gets a good run on our Green in this way. I have discovered that for a tiny little guy, he has a great bark, when he feels like it (saying hello to other boys).

The vet was very impressed with him yesterday when he got his vaccinations and said, isn’t he just like a little lab, I’d love to keep him?
Everyone who meets him is super impressed by his nature, and I have to remind everyone he is a dog with 4 legs & not a baby  !

I like to knit & crochet, so Harley being a pup always tries to ‘get involved’ , I pay little attention, other than to distract him with a chew toy & that’s it, he is fine. He is here beside me on the couch tucked under my arm, and I hope when he does get his forever family, that this will suit them, to snuggle him lots.

Harley went out on the lead today and met lots of new people & behaved impeccabakly. He walks very nicely on the extendable lead, and liked walking with my two dogs, though he would like to be in front of them, I don’t let him. He has a very confident nature.

Harley deserves a really nice loving family, and as he is still a young puppy, will fulfil every need for young & old.

There is not a lot more I can say as this little guy has no real issued, aside from teething, which he is using my old wooden spoon for & his chew toys. If his teeth touch skin he gets put down from his cosy position on our knee, so that is standard puppy practise, he has quickly learnt to chew his toys not anything else.

    Hi There,

Just looking through your posts on Sheeba, I have just started to foster Harley. My friend has two staffies & they are fab family pets, before I met her dogs, I didn’t realise how good staffies were as pets, and how clever & chilled.I suppose like all dogs, its all in the love, training & regular exercise. The best of luck to Sheeba finding the home she so obviously deserves.

We havnt quite got the hang of updating in Harley’s progress but as my first post got lost, I’ll run thru again. Harley, is a gorgeous friendly little guy with a great personality. He is exceptionally trusting & affectionate & likes nothing more than cuddles. He has settled in well with my 2 doggies, & sleeps in beside either one of them ( uninvited) I’d say!! His bed is always empty & he is cuddled in beside someone.

Harley, is a clever Dachshund x & seems to be learning fast, he is paper trained & has no accidents, when the weather improves I have no doubt he will be tapping on the door to go out & do his business!

Harley, is an indoor dog who will make a great pet & is fine with children & adults.

If you r looking for a loving little pet look no further this guy us guaranteed Mr. Friendly.

Another update on my foster pup Harley, as today is wet & he seems ver y keen on dishwashers! He learned to sit & I quickly took a piccy of him doesn’t he look sweet. Hard to catch a small black dog in a photo. I hope this comes out. As a treat, for learning to sit he got scrap of Turkey slice.
