Izzy has just been picked up to go to her new foster home.

She is a very intelligent dog, who has a lot to give to a family.

Izzy will be missed here, she gave great hugs and was always happy and fun.

We look forward to hearing about her adventures going forward and wish her all the best :P

Izzy had a slightly lazier day today…we had an early start with a big walk, Izzy was not impressed! While she was very excited to see everyone getting up she was actually quite tired and that led to a little protest on our walk and LOTS of interest from passing commuters!

We eventually made it and Izzy spent the rest of her day lazing, once in a quiet enough spot she is happy to chill out, she loves being around people and is interested in everything we are doing..she was extremely interested in how to empty the dishwasher and on the noises of the washing machine.

Izzy is a typical puppy she has energy to burn and then crashes out. She is getting less jumpy though and is showing us all her tricks. She has been trained in the past using hand signal, she knows sit, stay and how to give the paw. She hasn’t had any accidents since her first night..which we have decided didn’t really count! She walks well on her lead and is very responsive when off her lead.

We hope to get some photos tomorrow if we can get Izzy to slow down for long enough!

Izzy has nearly had her first full day with us and we are trying to pack as much as we can into the few days shes staying with us!

We made today a coastal day, she was very enthusiastic about everything! she loved climbing on the rocks, the water, meeting new people.

Izzy walks well on her lead, she sits on command, and while she does have the habit of jumping up to greet you (she is a puppy after all!) she has even lessened this.

Izzy is a bouncy girl and while we have found her to LOVE small children and be gentle when around them she would probably be abit too much to live with.

Izzy gets on well with our dog and wants to play 24/7! She was walking off her lead already today as she is very responsive to her name and loves to bound over for a cuddle when called.

She seems to be a bright girl with plenty of energy. She has an amazingly soft coat and is getting plenty of compliments already.

Another first last night by Rosie…

We were on our evening walk when her brave foster brother always goes for a paddle in the river and usually Rosie watches on with great concern..but last night was different!

She hopped right in and followed him down the whole way, she had great fun going right into the little bit of flow and even turned over some rocks. She was sooo proud of herself when she came out to me 8-)

She met some of her friends shortly after and she even got some treats, Rosie is very popular in the park needless to say!

    Another busy weekend for Rosie…

She helped to host a communion party on Saturday. She was a great help at moving things around (2l of minerals are nothing to her) and helped clear away any crumbs that were dropped. We had decided that she would probably have to wait outside while any white dresses were in the house but she proved us wrong and turned on her princess charm :P

Rosie welcomed everyone in and was very well behaved. She was happy to have everyone pet her and gave everyone a great display. She did very well at letting all the kids play with her toys…

She is still learning and has had another few good experiences with our cat, she has learnt that running at her wanting to play doesn’t get the best reaction, and now she prefers to approach slowly…most of the time!

If Rosie is still here next weekend she will be attending the Bark in the Park in St Annes in aid of the Blue Cross and hopes to see some of you there!

Rosie has such a busy social life these days its hard to keep up with all the fun shes having. She is in such demand as a little walking partner by everyone in our house we had to make an effort to not walk her on Thursday. Its great to see her enjoying herself so much.

After her day off, it was back to business on Friday!

Rosie was looking forward to taking part in her first scout activity, a fun run on the beach. Rosie was on her best behaviour, she took it all in her stride. She was the center of attention in her fetching little coat, and didn’t mind all the kids wanting to say hello and happily sat on their laps. She wasn’t nervous of the crowd and also didn’t cry for me if I moved away for awhile which up until a while ago would have sent her into a panic. She was walked by a few of the kids and happily ran along with them (I was totally forgotten by her in all the fun, which was great to see :P ) , her confidence has just rocketed and she really thinks everyone should just love her.

She is just such a happy girl these days, who wants to have fun and knows there is so much out there for her to enjoy!

Rosie came home and collapsed on the sofa for the rest of the night.

A busy day for Rosie today, she went to visit our relatives with us and was rather well behaved.

She was confident in the house and enjoyed having new people to play fetch with(think she’s getting bored of us  )

Rosie traveled in the car which went without concern (she hasn’t been great in it since her trip to the vets) but shes seems to have gotten over that!

Rosie is now exhausted on the sofa here and is all cuddled up!

She has recently got under her big brothers skin and is now allowed cuddle up with him, she loves to sqeeze between him and the wall on the bed, he wasn’t to keen on that arrangement at the start!

Rosie has had another successful week in our home.

She has been able to play fetch again in the mornings, and loves to try get a Great Dane she sees often in the park to hand over his toys.

She has taken to cuddling up with our retriever when she comes home – we arn’t even sure if he notices shes there.

We feel alot of her confidence when we are out is based on his presence so we have begun to try walk them at different times so she can become her own lil lady!

She has had a great time enjoying the safety and peace of the park so we are also bringing her for some more busy walks with traffic etc. Rosie does attract alot of attention though as everyone wants to say hello :P

Rosie went to the vets today to have her stitches removed.

She also received some of her vaccinations (which she was less than impressed about!)

Rosie has continued to go from strength to strength over the past while.

She loves being out in the park and now rather than running away from other people and dogs she rushes up to receive compliments.
On the bank holiday she went to the park for ice cream and to enjoy the sunshine, there was ALOT of people, fairground rides, and general hustle and bustle. She behaved impeccably and didn’t even mind queuing. She was happy to greet lots of people and enjoyed the attention.

Rosie has become much more settled in the house. She now is happy to be left alone downstairs.

When she arrived she was very afraid of the dark now she relaxes in the evening once she has had a walk.

Rosie is looking forward to moving to her forever home :D

We might even get some pictures now her "cone of shame", which she didn’t mind wearing, has been removed!

Rosie had her little procedure on Monday morning, and luckily this time came home from the vet much quicker.

The best news of all though is that she now weighs a fabulous 6kg :P Although we don’t think she’ll be needing to watch her weight anytime soon!

She has been happy to wear her cone, we think she must think its just something you have to do to be a dog with a home, and she is going against everything the vet said about resting!

Rosie is keeping busy by studying for everyones exams (sometimes she gets so involved she is literally on the book), she has also taken on the duty of bird patrol in the garden so our cat has gone into sun bathing mode, Rosie also forms our welcome committee…

She has become particularly smitten with the boys of the house and she adores every bit of attention she can get!

Rosie is a little girl with the heart of a lion…
