She’s great of the lead and loves her two daily walks with her brother Dexter who has been so great in sharing his bed and toys with her. They love to play together in the morning and afternoon before walks.
Brought them to the canal down in Kildare yesterday where Sadie decided to Cool down by jumping in! Not sure if she had swam before so we fished her out as she looked panicked – followed about 30 seconds later by Dexter who we’ve had since Nov 11 and we know he hates water and isn’t a swimmer. Such a fright but again we scooped him out too! Whatever his big sister does it seems Dexter likes to do too. Which is great because he was such a nervous little dog before her but has grown so much confidence.
The only few problems we’ve had with Sadie involves her hate of cats! Which resulted her jumping up on a window ledge of our garden shed and over a 6ft wall into the neighbours garden. 3 days later she still sits waiting for this nemesis
Here’s a few photos of her settling in – all our friends and family are in love with her too

Sadie is a testament to the love and work Christine and Shane her foster parents did for her. She is so gentle and loving and confident! Dexter is confused as hell but he adores her and follows her around. He’s still dealing with the situation of her being here in ‘his space’ but I know that’ll pass with time. He showed her the ropes in getting up the stairs today and the good hangout spots in the park.
She did really well when we tried some more of the lead training. She spent 90% of the time in our company and ignoring all the distractions. Con is in love with her already and she’s really relaxed tonight sleeping on the couch. I think they’re both exhausted after the park and the adventures in the house.
Christine and Shane, you did a wonderful job with her. So happy to have her. Thanks for all your effort and hardwork. She is a joy.

All home safe and well, water and snacks had. Currently arguing over their sleeping arrangements which is odd seeing we only bought Sadies bed yesterday so Dexter is being a little punk.
Nothing a walk to the park won’t fix. Here’s a quick snap of them In the garden. More to follow later
